  1. It's official, NCAA is a joke once again. Ohio State gets a slap on the wrist considering the crimes, a 3 year probation period and a loss of 1 basketball scholarship. Of course, it LOOKS tough, but considering what they did it's very little. No postseason bans, and the 1 scholly loss won't affect the Thad 5. If anybody other than one of the main cash cows did this, it would be a death penalty like punishment. *Sighs* man does the NCAA suck, I just wish everybody was treated the same way.
  2. So Prior doesn't even to get his first chance at a SIMULATED game win until mid March. Wow....they are being quite careful considering he's perfectly healthy!!
  3. This team is completely insane, I love it.
  4. Utah upsets their in state rivals BYU. BYU and Air Force both suffer upset losses today, and their bubbles have likely popped. San Diego State has a very good record and won the MWC in the regular season, but likely have to win the next 2 games to get a bid. BYU and Air Force losing make the Mountain West all but assured a 1 bid league.
  5. It's official, the hapless Oregon Ducks, who entered this game at 14-17, pull off the upset of Championship Week (so far) with a 84-73 win over #2 seed and #12 ranked Washington. Chamberlin Oguchi leads the rally with 22 points, all scored in Oregon's 54-32 2nd half blitz. Oregon won't have their starting PG Aaron Brooks tomorrow, but with the way they played in the 2nd half, I doubt they care. The semi's tomorrow are Arizona vs. UCLA and Cal vs. Oregon. That 2nd semi will be fun, as a Cal win gets them into the dance and a Oregon win, amazingly, puts them in a position to play for a spot in the dance.
  6. This one is just about done. Oregon heading to the line with a 78-71 lead, 1 min left. EDIT: Roy with 30 for U Dub, but is getting no help. 80-73 Oregon with 51 seconds left.
  7. Oregon by 6 with 2:48 to go. The Ducks, who have rolled in mediocrity and below .500 all season and trailed by 14 with 10 mins to go, have put on an unreal rally to take the lead on the #2 seed and #12 ranked Huskies. Chamberlain Oguchi has 17 points, all scored within a 8 minute blitz in the 2nd half during the main ralley.
  8. OH MY!! This Chamberlin Oguchi guy on Oregon is out of control. He just keeps hitting 3 after 3 after 3. Hell of a game that all you people that are asleep are missing.
  9. Ahh the beauty of multi racial women. Gotta love Soledad.
  10. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) LOL. That game isn't on by me. Was it a SC update or something? Game is on just about every FSN on DirecTv, so I got it on. It was one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen in a basketball game, Brooks should be suspended for several games to start next season and whatever games (if any) they have left this season for that move.
  11. WOW!! Aaron Brooks of Oregon is kicked out after SUCKER PUNCHING Appelby of Washington in the face and looks like he broke his nose.
  12. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) That's gonna be a good one. The best way to attack Nova is obviously inside. Gray and Young will give them problems. Does anybody know why Levon Kendall didn't play? back spasms.
  13. That big white guy on Iowa State is horrendous. In other news, this one is over as Iowa State falls short. Okie State vs. Kansas Friday night.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 07:04 PM) OSU's big guys shooting roughly 142% from the field. Iowa State's shooting roughly 2%. It's easy to get those numbers when the Cowboys shoot 1 ft from the basket, and ISU shoots 21 ft away from the basket. That is actually accurate. At halftime, the OSU frontline players were 18 of 14 from the field. ISU within 6, poor Heads.
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) Five once ISU wins the tourney on Sunday. Well if that's not supposed to be in green, ISU will knock A&M and Colorado out. And you really need to stop with your ISU stuff, between my dislike for Kansas and Iowa, the fact they never play Illinois or NIU (except in football ), and the fact I feel bad for all ISU fans with how they lose games, your going to make me root for ISU.
  16. CU/A&M winner is in, loser is out. The Big 12 deservedly will only get 4 bids IMO.
  17. Colorado survives to play Texas A&M tomorrow in what is almost like a play in game. I would be really, really surprised if A&M doesn't win that one though.
  18. Yeah, the Valley is smart with the RPI system. Playing road games against high majors is a lot better for the SOS than playing Longwood at home or 9 straight home games period.
  19. Georgetown started badly, like yesterday, but also like yesterday, slowed the game down and used their size inside to do just enough to pick up the victory (altough damn that got close at the end). G'Town vs. Syracuse should be interesting, Syracuse has a lot of big bodies inside to throw at the Hoyas, but Georgetown should do a lot better job on McNamara then Syracuse' last 3 opponents have. The other interesting factor is both teams were 1st day players, so fatigue will be a factor with both playing their 3rd game in 3 days.
  20. QUOTE(The Bones @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) Wake beats FSU 78-66. Does FSU get in? They are squarely on the bubble with that loss IMO. It's 50/50, they are going to end up on the "last 4 in/last 4 out" line. My guess is they don't get in since the Duke win is their ONLY RPI top 50 win.
  21. With the injuries and the way they ended the season, I would be surprised if Michigan gets in, and I don't think they deserve to. But at the same time, the Big 10 RPI is sooo damn good that it gives them a shot.
  22. Ahh now it's over, Minnesota pulls off the mild upset. Does Michigan get in? I would say odds lean towards no, but they do have a shot.
