QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) I believe it's supposed to change some time this year...at least at the Mexican border that's what I've been told. Yeah well border patrol is a lot more lax with Canada than it is with Mexico, no matter what the politicians tell you. But eventually things will tighten up with Canada as long as the big brother trend in this country continues.

22-22 at the half in the Georgetown-Marquette game. That was a fugly half, which favors Georgetown, especially since their bigs aren't in foul trouble. -

Arizona and Kentucky are already in. Combine their names with their high RPI's and better recent play, and they are dancing. -

The quality of play in these Big East Tourney games is something to watch. These teams are damned good. And G'Town is FINALLY starting to attack Marquette's soft interior, and getting back into it as a result. James needs a rest too for Marquette, he looks tired and out of control. -

Minnesota should be feeling good. Michigan leads 27-23 at the half, but Grier has ZERO points. Doubtful that trend will keep up. -
For now, all you need is a d/l and to be nice to the border patrol. Not sure how long that will last.

The quickness of the other 4 players on the floor combined with Novak's deadly shot and 6'10 frame is just so damn difficult to guard. And against some teams (like G'Town, who relies on size and ball movement) it creates havoc on the defensive end too. G'Town better figure out a way to get the ball inside and score, because Marquette isn't a team they are going to hold to 55 points. -

A game to watch here also is Colorado vs. Baylor in the Big 12. If Colorado loses, A&M is locked into the dance IMO, but if Colorado wins like they should, Colorado vs. A&M tomorrow is essentially an NCAA Tournament play in game. -
It's amazing that a 300 plus win, 4,000 plus strikeout, 40 year old plus legendary pitcher has to be such an indecisive attention whore.

Marquette game has tipped off bud. Great start for your boys, 9-2 Eagles early. The Marquette quickness is giving G'Town all kinds of hell on both ends of the floor. -

If you've never seen Dominic James play, make sure to keep ESPN on....kid is a special talent at PG and is the reason why Novak has had so many open looks and had a great senior year. G'Town if they are smart will attack the weak Marquette front line inside. Should be a great one. -

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 01:52 PM) goodbye Missouri state or N. Iowa... The MVC plays too early and everyone is watching these big time conference games. That is why I worry about Bradley. UNI has the best OOC wins by far among the teams in that league, and Mizzou State (at least up until the last couple of days) had an RPI in the mid 20's. -

I'm worried about Bradley now. I still think they get in, but they are going to end up on that "last 4 in" line on Sunday and that is always dangerous. -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 01:39 PM) I've totally lost track of everything now. Now Cuse is in. That much is certain. Who's got the best chance of getting in after the GW loss? All the GW loss does is turn the A-10 from a 1 team league into a 2 team league. GW and whoever wins the A-10 tourney now are in, which knocks 1 more team off the bubble. -

BTW, at the end of regulation you saw why you foul up 3 with under 10 seconds left. If UConn does that, they win the game. -

This sucks, every game I watch makes me think more and more Illinois could make another crazy run if they get the right bracket. It's soooooooooo wide open. -

Well 2 bubbles have popped in the last half an hour. GW and somebody else are in out of the A 10 and Syracuse is in out of the Big East. -

They foul McNamara. UConn is so f***ing stupid, that may be their downfall in the bigger tourney. -

I mentioned this in the other thread about NIU, but damn. Down 21 with 14 minutes left, only to lose by 1 point. I hate Rob Judson, and the sad part is he saved his job probably by winning the MAC West in the RS. Now I know how you feel Heads. -

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 01:15 PM) Damn, how did I forget Warrick. He had the key block. You gotta go back a ways then, probably 1994 Arkansas. Yeah, I think Thurman played in the NBA (he sucked ass though) Williamson of course, and I think that was it for them in terms of NBA players. 40 minutes of hell and Thurman and Williamson playing over their heads hid the lack of talent.
