  1. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 06:19 PM) Especially not for Contreras. Contreras will surprise us tonight. He is always better in the second half...
  2. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:44 PM) EAT s*** MARLINS!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing like sweeping a bunch of smelly fish out of our house!!! Sox are a winner twice over today with the sweep and with Pods beating out those Spankee assholes to get to the AS game. PODS FRANK Contreras for a nice outing to crazy Carl for a big game GIMMIE A HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELL YEAH !!
  3. QUOTE(shadowspy1 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) I voted somewhere between 300-500 times. Once
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) Cantu is pretty good. The Drays have some really, really good young hitters. The homers don't bother me (okay they do)...but when he is throwing strikes he is pretty good and doesn't build up his pitch count..It is the walk that kill him.. He walke one or two people, hits someone with a pitch and then pitches a strike and gives up a bomb (that is why he has so many no decisions and few wins).. But I'd rather see the strikes and maybe see him give up a homer or two or some singles but they are as damaging because the bases aren't juiced. You cannot defend a walk -EVER... and still have to get the next hitter out.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:43 PM) The upstart bastards on the South Side of Chicago just gave a bloody nose to the evil empire in New York. Who says the Sox don't have their fans and have crummy fan support...? This was truly grassroots and shows the team how much we appreciate what they have done this season!
  6. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) Another 'teacup' strikezone tonight!! Good News- Minnesota lost and Cleveland losing 4 to 1... At very worst we still maintain our division leads..
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxjr27 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) was he metal on the mound in new york? yes- one day he looked like Cy Young and the next he looked as if he should pitch in the little leagues...I guess the Yankees just got tired of his inconsistency.. The frustrating this is...he HAS THE TALENT AND POTENTIAL..but can't seem to seal the deal..
  8. QUOTE(tony72 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) I know he gave up a homer..but he made some great pitches.. I don't know what it is with Contreras - he does have some great stuff but just can't seem to pull it mentally together when he is on the mound. F---his walks !!
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) He'll be good today. I know he gave up a homer..but he made some great pitches.. I don't know what it is with Contreras - he does have some great stuff but just can't seem to pull it mentally together when he is on the mound.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxjr27 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:14 PM) just got home. guess the count is pitching like s*** already. I would rather see him pitch strikes and get hit then walks !! Does that sound crazy ?!
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) Pop-up by Guillen. HAHA! Inning over. KC Ties 1 - 1...
  12. QUOTE(tony72 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) If Buerhle takes a 1 to 0 loss I give him permission to take a bat and smash Crede's head with it !! They should just record two outs for Widger and Uribe and let Podsednik lead off for the top of the 5th..
  13. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) Scary... If Buerhle takes a 1 to 0 loss I give him permission to take a bat and smash Crede's head with it !!
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 07:06 PM) Crede pops it up. Whats new. Inning. Uhhhhh, corpseball. I am so f---king tired of Crede and Uribe...
  15. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) didn't the Sox go into the tank last year after the Cubs series at home? No - they actually played well for a few weeks after that.. They tanked after Minny swept us at home..
  16. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:50 PM) at this rate the game will be over at 7:30 I hate 12-2 blowouts and here's why... A pitcher pitches like crap one day (Mitre on Friday) and most of our offense gets a homer and so the next few games everyone thinks they are Barry Bonds and swings for the fences at first pitches.. We have been winning because of singles, walks, stolen bases, etc....if a pitcher knows you are going TO SWING AT EVERY FREAKING PITCH it is easy for them... I just hate the 10 runs or more offensive output because they forget the basics..
  17. QUOTE(tony72 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) Buerhle never gets offensive support ... I just wish they would take more pitches...I am tired of a 3-0 counts ending in fly balls or pop ups... Make the pitcher work !
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 06:43 PM) I love your optimism. Buerhle never gets offensive support ...
  19. There is still a 9.5 Game Lead...They lost 2 games !!! They started the homestand with a 5 game lead and ended it with a 9.5 game lead.... They have been playing so well that 2 games lost seems like ten...but EVERY SINGLE TEAM WILL LOSE 60 GAMES OR SO...even playoff teams have four or five game losing streaks !! Just Chill Out Everyone !! They will have bad games and series this year as will EVERY SINGLE OTHER TEAM IN BASEBALL
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) Tracey's up. 0-1 Can we have Cliff cloned to add three more relievers to our bullpen?
  21. Cliff has been the best reliever this year by far
  22. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) TIMO f***IN SUCKS!!!! He must be doing that to somebody..otherwise why is he still in the Majors..
  23. QUOTE(Cloudyguy09 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) noooooo let frank hit Timo would probably hit a bomb now when it wouldn't really matter.. A 5 to 4 game and he would whiff..
  24. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) Cliff does his thing. Neal's era is getting close to that 2 mark. We have been mainaining a five game lead for the last three weeks and we have entered the hard part of the schedule (playing all team -except Rockies) who are in first or close to first.. I think that's pretty good and yeah we are not winning 80 % of our games like we did the first six weeks...but .500 against tough teams is good (Padres, Cubs, Diamondbacks, etc.)... It just that every loss in magnified in a season like this...doesn't the two game loss feel like a 20 game loss or is it just me?
  25. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Jun 12, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) The umpire who called Everett out was once attacked by fans at US Cellular Field. I might attack him next time he's over here. Good News - Dodgers on top....3-2..
