QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) Dye walks..a start..

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) Damn the Sox play good defense. Terrific relay, great job of blocking the plate. I hope that proves to be a big play. Let's get at least two runs here!

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) :puke Frank's swing lately. and Konerko's.. they need to stop swinging for those fences and just try to get some hits (or walks)..

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) El Duque is better than I've ever seen him in Sox uniform...he's even hitting 90-91 with his fastball from time to time...I've never seen him over 88 this year... El Duque looks great !

What is your second favorite team in baseball? (And the answer cannot be anyone who plays the Cubs.. I have an aunt who lives in Milwaukee and I always went to County Stadium when we went to visit her for a weekend.. Sometimes when the Sox are out of town..I will go to Miller Park to see a baseball game. It is only an hour drive and a nice ballpark. So my answer is the Brewers..I would be happy to see the Brewers win.. (Plus they do play the Cubs... )...

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) Another thing that made the clincher in Minny dull was that we did it on an Indians loss, because the Sox loss and our magic number was at 1. I hope we can win the game, if and when we clinch. I agree... To me (although I was ten and not there)..the 1983 Clincher had to be the most exciting becuase it was the first time a Chicago team had won anything in 28 years)...

QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) Do you remember the "whoomp there it is" chants going down the ramps? Left over from the Bulls three peat earlier in the summer... I remember then the Bulls and the White Sox dominated all Chicago Sports in the early 90's (those were the days)..

QUOTE(tony72 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) McCaskill...It was scoreless until the seventh inning and Bo Jackson hit the two run homer.. Alvarez was pitching that game.. I remember leaving the stadium and people were leaving the game honking and jumping... Not to get too far ahead..but I really hope the White Sox clinch at home - to me it is ten times more exciting to clinch at home.. The 2000 Clincher in Minnesota was kind of dull... The Sox would need to be ahead six to twelve games to Clinch at home..(the last six games are on the road)...

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) I was there too. What great memories especially Bo's HR. I forgot who pitched that night. Was it Kirk McKaskill? McCaskill...It was scoreless until the seventh inning and Bo Jackson hit the two run homer.. Alvarez was pitching that game..

QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) With the increase in attendance and an inevitable buzz about to hit the South Side, do you all think the white socks will make their return? I don't think they were out in full force in 2000, but I remember in 1993 it was the big thing. My prediction is after Friday night's game where they hand out Hanes double tough white socks to the first 20,000 or so, from then on everyone will start doing it again. Everyone will see it on tv, and it'll catch on. I was at the clincher in 1993 ! and everyone was waving White Socks... Wimpy even took off his shoes and waved his white socks !! You think he could have bought some instead !!

QUOTE(tony72 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) The problem is we have reduced seating now since we lost the top eight rows of the upper deck so if every game sold out..3 million would be hard.. If there is money left for additional renovations...why not put in a porch in maybe right field to increase capacity from maybe 38,000 to 41,000 or more? I just remember the dark days of the late 90's after the White Flag trade going to games and there were 8 or 9 thousand people...it was depressing.. A Saturday game back then that had 20,000 people felt like a sell out...30,000 was unheard of unless it was the Cubs.. Now most of our games are over 30,000....

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) If and I mean if the Sox win the series...expect 3 million. If there is money left for additional renovations...why not put in a porch in maybe right field to increase capacity from maybe 38,000 to 41,000 or more?

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 01:15 PM) Wow.....I;ll be going ot the BoSox game the 24th, it'll be a packed house huh? From 1.3 million in 1999 to 2.4 million in 2005 is a da.....mn good improvement !! If we draw 2.4 million this year and play decent next year...we could draw about 2.7 million in 2006 which would be great for more revenue and maybe a free agent or two... All in all, with Buerhle, Garcia and Garland as the core of your starting pitching I don't think this will be a 2000 were we were good for one year and then just a little better than average the next.. I think the White Sox could be good for three or four years which would mean over 2.5 million each year and more money for the team..

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Whoa nice dig in the dirt by Konerko on the low throw by Uribe. Game FINALLY over. And that's FINALLY a WHITE SOX WINNER!!! A heart attack ninth inning but a good lesson for Ozzie on Shingo and Vizicano...!! -

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) For the first few innings I thought we just weren't getting good swings on the ball, but since the 3rd or 4th inning, Milwood has been flat out nasty. I think we kind of let him get into a groove here. I do hope KW does try to get the Sox a little more offense.. Yes - we have the best record..yes - we have a huge lead. But I don't want complacency..a 9 game lead can disappear. Enough of chemistry ! Give me a Championship ! -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) That is what picture in picture is for. The problem is he pitches fine until he give up a hit... Then he is TERRIFIED to throw the ball over the plate and starts walking people, etc. and creates his own jams.. -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:39 PM) He's on pace for 100 at 6 innings. 6 innings for a #4 or #5 starter is pretty good. The bullpen is well-rested. Automatic Out # 1 - Crede Automatic Out # 2 - Uribe They are killing our offense.. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) It was very good, but I can't trust him at all no matter how good he seems at times. I cringe every time he throws, luckily there's about a minute between each pitch to calm myself back down. About three minutes -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) Podsednik should have struck out twice in the first inning. Wciu not showing the outs/count/score is really pissing me off. Double Play !
