  1. come on Kong, you got jammed by the same pitch twice, pathetic.
  2. Mussina seems to have lost some sharpness, come on--big inning!
  3. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:19 PM) Yea, 2-0 in the 3rd inning is insurmountable. well now its 4-0. Wow, MB makes a good pitch and Bernie f***ing Williams goes gap the opp way.
  4. MB is lucky that the Yankees are taking the "ultra aggressive" approach frmo the Cubs. He could be in a lot more s*** if they stopped poppingthe first pitch up.
  5. I'm about ready to turn this game off. Just pathetic.
  6. my god, none of the breaks are going the SOx' way so far, get the f*** outta the way Giabmi.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) Yep....it's amazing the slack he's given by some fans. If Mackowiak cost us a run by misplaying a fly ball, and then had a pathetic AB that probably cost us a run, people would be going nuts about how Anderson needs to play every day. Perhaps because one is a rookie and the other is a veteran unlikely to improve? Of course there's a double standard.
  8. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) that was a strike, guys. The ump hadn't 't been calling that a strike up until that call. That's my problem with it. Wow, graet bunt
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) He should of been at third. That was like a swinging bunt. No way, he would have been a dead duck. And you don't run on contact with nobody out and a ball hit to the left side of 2nd base. BA didn't get the job done, nothing to blame Cintron for. Mussina is looking nasty, I have no idea how Iguchi is even still batting.
  10. Mark looks fine to me. He's getting ahead in most counts and his changeup is looking good. He's always going to rely on pitching to contact, lets hope this is one of those days were he doesn't leave too many 88 mph cookies up and over the plate.
  11. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 01:50 PM) AJ hadn't played in nearly a week. I think Widger played because Johnson was on the mound and he took him deep last year. If that's true, that's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
  12. This ump has a pretty small zone today. Consistent so far though. Mussina looks very sharp, could be a long day if we can't get to the pen by the 7th.
  13. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) yeah... when the media started making a big deal about it his play started to decline... I wonder if that was a contributing factor. Please don't tell me you're blaming the media for his poor pitching?
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) Which is why I'm all in favor of a blockbuster trade right now for any superstar. When you have to scratch and claw to barely beat the Red Sox at home, it should signal something. Eh, it's a short stretch and it's not like the Sox are getting blown out. The team could be improved for sure. The first thing to do would be to tell Ozzie TO NEVER PLAY the scrubs againt the elite of the AL. Let them sit against the Royals. Chris Widger is junk and if KW really wants to upgrade the team at no cost he finds a backup catcher capable of a) hitting, or B) catching. Widger can't do either.
  15. Man, Ozzie really overthinks things sometimes. He burns through pitchers too quick, that's my one quibble with his bullpen usage this year.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) I'm not sure why I read any of your posts to be honest. LOL, the new game threads just ain't the same... You're...a meanie! A dirtball! Darnit!
  17. good work by count today, this is the form he'll need the rest of the season.
