Yep. The Sox don't have alot of strikeout guys on the staff either, so it's even more important to field a solid defense behind them. I'm coming around on this move a bit. The key will be to make sure Mack is not ever in CF in the 8th or 9th with a lead, and to make sure that Mack is playing during his notorious "hot streaks" and not during his equally notorious slumps.

I like the Tom Glavine comps better. Both Glavine and Buehrle beat their FIP numbers year after year by somehow "pitching to weak contact". That's my two cents.

This team is playing great ball right now. The A's are a solid club, and the Sox won two close games and one game easily: great job Sox. I like this team more everyday. Def they give off a dif vibe than 2005. This group is more volatile, and I'm not sure if that's good or bad yet on my heart.

Crawford would be nice, and I was big for aquiring him this winter, but I think the Dbacks would have wanted half the farm in return. I think it might have required Garland/Contreras and a prospie for him, which just wasn't worth it.
