Really Jon? We've seen so many pitchers go to korea and then come back? I think I can name two, they are both on these teams here tonight.

I can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather just trust the butcher.

Look at how long Pham's bat stays in the zone compared to Eloy on a pitch like that. One guy has a great chance, the other has no chance.

I'm old but Ramos reminds me of El Caballo. Hits the piss out of the ball. Does not get cheated.

Eloy cannot cover anything outer half of the plate. He's completely clueless about it and so is the staff apparently.

Well damn, the Sox actually were correct about the first pitch time.

I don't know DeJong other than the back of his baseball card but it's shocking if any Sox fan really thought TA was a bounceback candidate. I made a post on exactly why he wasn't (mostly based on his batted ball data and statcast decline in his EV and sprint speed) and low and behold he hasn't bounced back and has actually been WORSE than last season by quite a bit so far. He's been so bad that it is likely he's out of MLB unless he turns it around in the next two months.

WTF man.

Cease To Padres per Passan
We'll just have to be patient and see how it pans out. The Sale trade looked immaculate for a few years too.

It's not a big deal at all. I've stopped wishcasting on super young pitching prospects. If anything it's a bonus he's already had TJS and hasn't had his MLB clock started. I think part of the problem with the Detroit rebuild and in part ours, was relying way too much on 23-26 year old pitchers.

If burger was a stock the Sox sold him at the absolute peak. he will likely never put up a stretch of 2 months at a 850 OPS or higher again.

West Coast White Sox: The Seattle Mariners and their 2024 season.
Pitching coming back to earth with a thud this week. If the score holds today they will be 20-18 with a +1 differential. Their schedule is pretty tough to end May, with a trip out East to play the Orioles, Yanks and Nationals before coming home to face the Astros again. I'd bet they are .500 or slightly below by the time June come around.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I think it's entirely possibly we play like .400 ball from here on out. That would be like a 52-110 team. Just putrid but not historically awful. I agree, soft bias of low expectations.

He should just stop talking imo. The stupid s%*# he said about Robert's injury (was unclear if he actually had a setback or if they were just adjusting the time table back a couple weeks) only muddled the waters.

Sox unveil the new Maldonado line .100
Don't yuck their yum buddy!

Not really a comparable situation given how much projected surplus value Q had at the time relative to his salary.

Luis Robert right hip flexor injury
Everything else aside, what an awful statement full of ambiguity from the guy supposed to the clear leader of the franchise. PR isn't everything, but it's something.
