Well as we saw there it's hard to fucking run in front of Abreu. Frankly I'm not sure I even want Moncada spinning his wheel 2-3 times a game over there and increasing his injury risk with such a free swinger at the plate. Next year might be different if Eloy or McCann is the 3rd hitter.
it was the immovable object against the unstoppable force. You had the speed of Moncada determined to get a steal and the bat of Jose determined to swing at every fucking pitch.
1) you gotta hold the guy on 3rd
2) you gotta have some sort of IF play to counter it ready. Usually hard charging 1B or pitcher.
Detroit didn't seem to do any of that.
I will say unlike the previous years we actually have guys that can get a bunt down. That's refreshing. if you're going to bunt so fucking much at least have guys that can execute it.
still, you play for one run...you'll score one run.
