If you want as good of a summary of why the Dodgers are in financial dire straits right now as you'll find anywhere, here it is. The short version appears to be that the McCourts reorganized the Dodgers in a way that allowed them to extract something like $200 million in cash/housing/income from the team while selling off assets and turning the Dodgers into effectively a shell with everything like the parking lots, ticket sales, tv revenue, pledged to outside investors in exchange for large upfront fees. Also, one of the McCourt's sons works for Goldman Sachs and has a $600k income from the Dodgers as well. I just liked that part. (Edit: oh, and it has nothing to do with the greedy unions).

I kinda see where both sides are coming from on this one, since I'm of the opinion that Lebron ought to be dominating the league in a way we've never seen before, but yeah, he sorta is dominating the league, just not as much as he should be. Hell, could say the same thing about Howard. Let's try asking this in a different way...2k5, based on what we've seen from Lebron so far in his career, what would you say would be different if he hadn't "Underachieved"? Stats, rings, etc.?
