  1. Soxnet.net game writeup. The White Sox are now 4-17 on the season in the game following a win.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 29, 2010 -> 10:28 PM) 0-4 game for Beckham...whenever you think he's coming out of it, he takes a step back He did hit a ball to the wall in the 4th inning for the 3rd out. He immediately followed that up with that bonehead throw to 3rd in the bottom half.
  3. Yeah, I read about the army of cleanup workers who magically appeared when the President showed up and then immediately vanished after he left, but I didn't want to post it off of just bloggity sources, it's now gotten talk on CNN. It's still crap when it happens. There ought to be that many people constantly out there, in safety gear. They could use a ton more manpower right now on those beaches, but BP's in charge, so why should they spend that kind of money? Edit: NBC in NOLA is calling BS as well. Abbreviate that!
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 29, 2010 -> 10:17 PM) I hope Jenks is good to go tonight. Nope, Linebrink in.
  5. Seriously, if Jenks is available tonight, give him the 8th and tell him the game doesn't end until he gets out of it.
  6. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 29, 2010 -> 09:52 PM) just got back from dinner. This sucks. Go check the other forums. It's a ridiculous sports night other than here.
  7. Would this game look much different with empty nets?
  8. Putz finally ended that inning, in case anyone ever reads this thread in the future and wonders what happened.
  9. At this pace this is going to be an 8-8 game.
  10. Seriously Rays, you're up 8-2, you've driven 3 of our pitchers from the game, everyone knows its over, the crowd wants Hall and Oats, and you're pinch-hitting Zobrist for Kapler?
  11. I'm no longer even caring about this game, yet somehow I'm not surprised by the fact that Randy Williams couldn't finish off a successful inning after striking out the first 2 batters.
  12. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 29, 2010 -> 09:31 PM) Yeah, they think the gravy train is never going to end. It's more like a bubble, to use an oversimplifying cliche. For all I know, they could be right. There's not exactly the emotional attachment to canceling a super bowl or using replacement players like there was with MLB not having lost a world series to WWII but losing one because of money. Plus, it's a lot harder for the players to last a full season; in baseball, they started the strike mid-season, which helped make sure the playoffs were lost.
  13. I figured this deserved a thread.
  14. I think it's time to re-post this shirt.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 29, 2010 -> 09:26 PM) Thought Paulino had a hit, especially with Castro guarding the line. Too soft, too soft.
  16. HEy, the Hawks just tied the Flyers up!
  17. Philadelphia sports fans aren't allowed to complain about anything for the next 3 years.
  18. 26/27 on the backwards K.
  19. These guys are just trying to make Buehrle feel mediocre.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 29, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) 1 down Halladay thread in the Diamond Club.
