It is a legit and fair question. But there’s a deep irony in asking if someone is sincere when Tony LaRussa himself has criticized people for being insincere, including Kaepernick for no reason other than he could get away with saying that about a black man, while LaRussa was insincere in 2007 when he said it wouldn’t happen again.

La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
Balta1701 replied to Baron's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hello I'm a former Chicago Resident and as a consequence Goose Island is one of my favorite beers. I'm also a lifelong White Sox fan, and have even spent a day hanging out at the Goose Island spot at O'Hare Airport watching a White Sox game before, after my flight was delayed several hours. Your company is a sponsor of the White Sox, with logos throughout their ballpark during the last season. That's why I'm writing this email today, because it's a disappointing day for White Sox fans as the team just hired a manager, Tony LaRussa, who we just learned now has 2 arrests for DUI on his record after an incident earlier this year. According to press reports, he was just charged in late October, the day before the team hired him, and now the team won't even comment on his arrest. Furthermore, on the evening of his arrest, he was belligerent with a police officer, stating "Do you know who I am, I'm a legit Hall of Fame guy" according to press reports. Goose Island 312 is one of my go-to drinks while traveling, but I always make sure to take public transit or a taxi home. Yet, a team you sponsor doesn't seem to think that safety while drinking is something they need to be concerned with. Your own website, as I'm typing this, says "enjoy responsibly". I would like to know if hitting a curb with your car and then being aggressive to an officer meets your standard of "enjoy responsibly"? If not, then I'd hope that Goose Island will consider taking up this issue with the White Sox, and if necessary, limiting or ending their sponsorship of that team. If this person continues being their coach and Goose Island continues as their sponsor next season, I will have to conclude that Goose Island finds that behavior acceptable, and unfortunately I will be remembering that any time I think about purchasing your products. Thank you very much for your time and consideration -
La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire

Only DD was advertised at the ballpark so I think that is the one to target (recently purchased would make them an ideal pressure point if they got 10-20 messages about this, they're not going to want their new company to have to deal with it). -
La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire

Go to town share broadly (feel free to credit me back here). Note there are probably some official sponsors I missed, that’s what I could verify from ballpark ads and various events, so more can be added. -
Hello. I'm a regular United Airlines Customer and also a baseball fan. Typically I've been a fan of the Chicago White Sox, and United Airlines has consistently advertised with them. Unfortunately, this month, the White Sox decided to hire a new manager, Tony LaRussa, and it has just been reported that he was arrested for his second DUI in Arizona earlier this year and was belligerent with a police officer, saying "Do you see my ring, I'm a legit hall of fame person" in the process of the arrest. I am hoping that, as one of the advertisers for the White Sox, you are now aware of this set of incidents, and I would like to know if this is the type of behavior your company finds acceptable as it certainly isn't to me. If it isn't, I would hope you would be in contact with that organization and consider ending your sponsorship of them in the coming year. (Name) (For this one I was limited to 1000 characters, this is just about 900. I'll write a different one for Goose Island in a minute).

Ok, I'm now over 30 sponsors who are either official team sponsors or who had clear ads in the ballpark last year. If you do business with one of them, reach out. Be polite, the person on the other end of the email may not even know they advertise with that team, and they're unlikely to be aware of this situation, so explain the details - you are advertising with a team that is now employing a manager with 2 DUIs, including one this year that they won't comment on, and ask them if that is the type of business they want to be supporting or reflective of their corporate beliefs. Some of them easily available through social media, lots of email addresses, a good number of phone numbers and web forms you could fill out. Several beer vendors, several car companies. They lose a couple of these, Tony LaRussa is gone. Has anyone here dealt with Mazda of Orland Park at some point? They look like a huge pressure point. Big account. Full list is posted a couple pages ago, or available here. WhiteSox2020Sponsors.docx

Mazda of Orland Park, gave away one of their cars through white sox charities last year. -
Remember, if you call or email, be polite, explain exactly why you're calling. The person on the other end of the phone is not responsible for this, and they will happily record your concerns. Do not be a jerk ever if you're doing this. Be willing to give your name and information, especially if you are a current customer of theirs. United, for example, should get a note from me as I fly them all the time. Also, targeting specifically the beer companies might be important as every one of them has a statement about responsible drinking on their web page. My brain is trying to convince me that the reason Reinsdorf has no problem with this is that he and LaRummy go out drinking and drive home from there all the time. -

Balta1701 replied to Baron's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Eventually TMZ is going to get an arrest video from this and I’ve got a bet with my wife that the next big thing is him doing a Mel Gibson. My wife bet in reply that it will turn out he did a Judge Roy Moore and that will leak out next. -
I’m still a fan of him sharing a photo of a supposedly incriminating Hunter Biden document, where the screenshot showed the phone happened to be on a Russian telephone network at the time the image was taken.

Yes. LaRummy will say that his GM didn’t get him the right kind of players and the GM Will lose that fight. -

Take it farther. Funny how Tony very publicly said Colin Kaepernick was insincere for his protest, but his own 2007 statement that it would never happen again was sincere. I wonder why LaRummy gets more credit for sincerity than Kaepernick? -

I would buy that but I don’t see why it would be Bochy unless he’s the highest paid manager in MLB afterwards. -

Why would Bochy want to be a part of this after watching all of this go down for a guy who they picked over him? If he wants to manage again there will be better options. Reinsdorf isn’t going to pay him the highest manager salary in the league.
