QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) That girl from the real world is hot, that's the only reason why I watch it. Is she the one from Watertown Wisconsin?
-
I'm getting excited about a Buerhle, Garcia, Burnett, Garland rotation that would be locked up. They could call themselves the BeeGees.

Didn't Koch used to hit high 90s?

QUOTE(bmags @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) i was just thinking how funny it would be to have back to back innings...the first with shingo and the second with jenks...try to catch up with that fast ball after seeing a 67 mph frizbee didn't we see that tonight?
-
"Hardball" keeps coming to mind.
-
Imagine Jenks coming in to just blow away people in the Playoffs.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) Anybody else here the jagoff in the background? "That's a pop-up! That's a pop-up! Haha, pop-up!" That guy is incredible. Last series in Tampa Bay, he always was just screaming and yelling when Dye was up. A while back, I was watching the Brewers/Devil Rays series and he was there as well, yelling.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) Nice to have another Mac guy on here. Mac guy here as well. 15" powerbook.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Yep. Jermaine is definitely athletic enough to make the transistion from RF to 1B. You know, for next year... I like, I like a lot. Possible scenarios for next year if Konkero goes: Everett in Right, Thomas at DH If Konerko and Thomas go: Big Free Agent in Right, Everett at DH.

Not sure, somewhere between 100-300.

I'm on MLB.tv, but it's the DRays broadcast, so I didn't hear it. I'd like to have the file.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) You can get it off of mlb.tv's replay can't you? I'm on MLB.tv broadcast, it's the Devil Rays feed (FSN Florida)
-
I'm on MLB.tv, Rays announcers continue to refer to ozzie as "former ray" ozzie guillen.
-
Well, we did our part.

If Matsui declines, does Iguchi go?

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) There's many factors involved in why people don't go to the movies. Tickets prices, the decline in quality movies and also the courtesy of other moviegoers (i.e. ringing cellphones, talking, crying babies) All of those factor into why there is a decline in movie attendance. Also, most people don't sit in front of their computer to watch a movie. Usually, you convert it to VCD so it'll play on a normal DVD player. Before seeing Revenge of the Sith this past summer, I hadn't been to a theatre in years for those particular reasons. Ticket prices are a problem, I normally go matinee to avoid the high prices. Decline of quality movies isn't really a valid complaint. There are plenty of good films every year. The problem is the average filmgoer doesn't recognize it (look at the top DVD sales and BO draws every year). The courtesy of moviegoers, I do have a huge problem with. I get so angry when people are rude in the theatre, I wish it was a misdemeanor. I'm serious too. I wish something could be done about assholes, but they are everywhere.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) Any problems with film piracy? I downloaded Batman Begins last night... I do, maybe it's because I just graduated with a 4 yr degree in film. It's my hobby and something I'm thinking about going to grad school for so I can teach it. Right now, the Box Office is down this summer and some are predicting that theatres may be on the decline. Apparently, people just prefer to sit at home and watch a DVD. Also, hundreds of people work on a film and it takes a big Box Office draw for a movie to break even before DVD. Finally, theatres don't really make that much money, so they need filmgoers. And, finally finally, sitting on your computer watching a new release is no where near the same as going to a theatre and seeing the film.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) Shingo is not supposed to pitch this long. I was about to say that.
-
Shingo since June 1. 8 games, 10 1/3 IP, 5 hits, 3 runs, 1 hr, 4bb, 12 k, 2.61 ERA

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) he's batting .280, and has a double already tonight. You can't blame him for a bad third strike call. Look back a few pages, I listed his #s since May 5th.
-
Since May 15, Jermaine Dye is .326/.394/.639 (before today)
-
Umm, why is Kevin Walker warming up?
-
QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) possibly rowand that is what i was thinking.
-
Since May 5, Iguchi is .241/.311/.406 Maybe he should be moved out of the 2 spot.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) VIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet deal, now let's hold 'em. Wow, he looked good there. As for McCarthy, I don't think he'll be a bust, I just don't think his trade value will ever get as high as it is now. Considering that, I think now is the time to trade him. He won't do anything to help us win this year, and this is our year, if there is ever going to be one. Schmidt, Zito, or anyone else, I'm all up for getting. I'd prefer to keep Contreras and El Duque if that is possible. Convert Contreras to the swingman and have El Duque as the #5.
