QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) NL East is defintley most balanced. I guess the NL West is balanced too, but ugh. they are badly balanced.
-
NL EAST is Without a doubt. 5 teams over .500. Than the AL Central because they have 3 playoff contenders. The AL East is next because of 2 real contenders(baltimore) isn't gonna hang around much longer. The rest of the divisions suck. AL West is the best of the worst followed by NL West and than the NL Central.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) There was a reason marte started the inning. yes however Marte is a CHOKER in the Ninth. He has the Hawkins disease. He is a good set up man just not somebody you should use in the ninth. -

f***! 2 On for Manny! Thanks Ozzie for bringing in the Choker in the ninth that is Marte instead of your f***ing Closer in Hermanson. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) Dempster's 14 for 14 in save opps, the Cubs are looking for bullpen help but if they picked up Shingo he wouldn't close. they won't because they are falling out of it quickly. Plus you are talking about the same GM that thought joe borowski would be a better solution than Dustin Hermanson.

i have a feeling he will stay with the sox in the minors. The reasoning is because i'm not sure if there is a market for him because everyone wants all of the sexy names on the market like Mesa, Wagner, and Baez. Especially if the Burnett trade is made, than KW will probably tell him stay with the organazation and you might have a good shot of making the team in September or earlier. JMO.

Levine is one of the best. If he reports it 95% of the time it's accurate. -
Official NFL Season Predictions

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) ding ding ding Our defense was strong last year with Urlacher, Azumah, Ogunleye, and Tillman all battling injuries. An OLine with Tait-Brown-Kreutz-Garza-Miller>>>>>>the s*** trotted out last year next to Kreutz and injured Tait and Brown. the o-line when healthy is actually pretty deep. It wasn't that bad when it was healthy last year. The problem was when everyone went down than you had to play jokes like Metcalf. -

QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) Eagles are a question mark if T.O. is gone. I really like the Ravens this year. Lots of question marks everywhere. Will Cullpepper have success without Moss? Grossman stay healthy? Harrington mature? The reason i picked the bears was because everybody in that division has ? marks. The Packers lost a ton in the off-season and nobody knows Walker's status, the Vikings lost their playmaker in Moss and they lost they lost their running back Smith for the year, and the Lions are the Lions. This division sucks. -

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) Josh, that's wonderful. However, this is a an inquiry into whether or not we'll be doing weekly picks this year. You pick a winner in every game, straight up. Day games are worth 1 point, Sunday night games are worth 2 points, and Monday night games are worth 3 points. Last year was a lot of fun, although most people would forget to post their picks for a particular week, and therefore were pretty much eliminated. It was basically a 5 man race between myself, knightni, danman, greasy, and cali. sorry. Damn. I'm juist a moron that's all.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) It must be a typo, the S and D are just so close to each other in the keyboard. So do you really think that Dingo is going to get through waivers and join the minors and get called up in September. yes. The roster expands in september anyways. The teams that need bullpen help want the real sexy names out there like Wagner, Mesa, and Baez. He will accept the assignment to Charlotte because he knows no other team will seriously go after him.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) His BA has been dropping like a rock since May. I get it, it was the fact that Tad has ESP and knew that Dingo would be gone and started to feel heartbroken. We can hire a translator. why do you keep calling him Dingo?
-
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) i think the bears are good enough to win the division. It sucks. I don't trust the Vikings defense. As long as Grossman stays healthy than they have a good chance. They will be improved though. I like the Texans as a team that if everything falls into place they could go 9-7 and steal a wild card spot. I'm also not entirely sold on Drew Brees yet.
-
Tadahito needs Shingo real badly right now. His average has dropped from about .330 to .269. He is hitting .136 in his last 7 games. He needs Shingo as a support system because I think that he is probably very lonely. His translator apparantly doesn't speak English very well and Iguchi often times used Shingo's translator.
-
QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 11:43 PM) Josh for the umpteenth time, it does not necessarily mean Shingo will go to the minors. It's possible, but not necessarily the case. Wait and see how this thing plays out, there will be plenty of time to comment afterwards. I think that the Phillies might of overpaid. Kata is a decent player and can play any IF position.
-
Linky I guess this means that Shingo will go to the minors. Decent trade for the D-backs although i thought they would've gone after Baez.
-
i'm in.

I expected Aaron to pick up the slack and while he has a decent average he has hit for no power. I expected a possible 30-30 year and while he could still have 30 SB's 30 HR are probably out of the question.

Where do you think Shingo will go?
White Sox Josh replied to White Sox Josh's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) Well here is good luck to you Josh and Dingo and your new identity on some Diamondback board of SnakeBitJosh. What the hell is your problem? IMHO opinion it was a bad move. I would've been happy if they traded something and got somebody good. That didn't happen.
