Is it just me or are the Umps calling strikes based on where or how the catchers catch the ball. That's not how it is supposed to be done. I'm an Ump and the first thing we were taught was to call the pitch on where it crossed the plate. Case in point was Wednesday's game: When Shingo was pitching in the Ninth the 2 pitches before the HR to Closser were clearly strikes yet since Widger caught it outside of the plate they were called balls. Also this happened in the Red Sawx-Flubs game yesterday. You call the pitches on where it crosses the plate.

Brian leads the Knights in runs, hits, total bases, walks, and slugging percentage.

I have to read "The Wave" over the summer for school. I saw the TV show and didn't like it.

Does anyone have any scouting reports on the Sox Draft Picks?

neither will be traded. Relax. Frank is not gonna be traded because he is key to the lineup. Everett won't be traded because he is a leader in the clubhouse and will do anything that the Sox ask him to.

With the 25th pick of the draft the Twins select IF Cliff Pennington out of Texas A&M. We considered going with Mark McCormick however he would be hard to sign because of him being a boras client. We like Pennington's overall game and we think he fits our style of play. If Bartlett doesn't work out, we have a replacement and we can always convert him to 3B.
