I remember reading about it when he was signed. I think the first year was partial no-trade and the second was full no trade or it may be the other way around.

I just wanted to let people know that the Sox won't be trading Shingo. He has a full no-trade clause.

Shingo needs to get more work in. He should've pitched in one of the games against Toronto. This is a pattern. The game against Detroit was the exact same thing. He had 5 days off. He needs to be pitching more. Remember before everyone says we should release him he has brought ERA down from 13 to 6 in 2 weeks. He has pitched well lately and he should get another shot.

Don't get me wrong i'm happy they won I just wish Ozzie wouldn't use Marte in the 9th.

Shingo has earned the Job back. Marte had no business being out there in the ninth after Zaun was up. It's like even when he pitches well Ozzie still has no confidence in him. Shingo has pitched well lately and he should be the closer. I have more faith in Shingo than I do with Marte. Hermy should be out there if Shingo is tired or the matchup dictates it. The matchup didn't dictate Hermy being out there. Marte should only be out there if the matchup dictates it.

White Sox 311 is a moron. Zaun came this close to being in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. His health is much more important than a win. By the way Zaun was taken to the hospital and will be staying there for a little while. He looks like he's gonna be ok though.

He's on a pace for 40 SV's & if he reaches that we're talking a 20M+/3yr deal. So as I view them they are essentially rental players. The White Sox could offer them arbitration (Type A) to get compensation picks for them at the end of the season. If I were KW I would do just that. I would have done it for Maggs as well. I've never had a problem with retaining stars 1 yr at a time through Type A arbitration. A compensation pick from the Tigers is a high pick. So if we were to trade for D Lee now it would likely cost us 2 compensation picks plus Shingo & Konerko. Maybe the Cubs should sweeten the deal. Not Hawkins. He's over-priced for a setup man & everyone incl Minny knew he didn't have the mindset to be a closer. They tried him & he failed. I don't want any of their struggling or garbage players either. It's D Lee or no trade. Keep in mind that the WSox are in the driver's seat in this trade. Their need for D Lee is far smaller than the Flubs need for Shingo. We dictate terms. I pity their injuries but they have no closer & are going no where until they get one. My life long dream has always been for the White Sox to sweep the Flubs in the World Series. Shingo will be Arb eligable because he will be in the top 20% at his position. I'm guessing he will make somewhere between $2.5-$3 million.

Don't get to down. If you had told me that the Bulls would lose a playoff series before that game against Utah I would have been estatic.

Not happening. Shingo has a full no trade clause.

Just remember that while Shingo might make it a little interesting sometimes, We could have LaToya as closer.
