  1. QUOTE(JimH @ May 15, 2006 -> 08:23 PM) Madison Street, not sure where on Madison St. Be careful if it's past 2000 west. 3901 W. Madison Ave. But wats the problem past 2000 west?
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 15, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) You also have to try a white castle, or 10 of them. Its another item for 2 in the morning. Preferable with a few pints. Apparently there is one on Madison Ave. Isn't the net great?
  3. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 15, 2006 -> 08:13 PM) Seriously though, gotta eat gas station stuff just once. Well we've got two 10 hour drives to Bristol VA from Chicago, so I think we'll have plenty of opportunities to try the polystyrene and paper wrapped stuff.
  4. Excuse me for going right off of the game thread but along with Lou Malnati's deep dish, we are planning on trying the ribs at Millers Pub ( next door to our hotel ). Wise choice?
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 15, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) im so hungry now. We got some French toast going spare.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) nah, we call it french toast, of course we eat it in the morning. Well it's just past noon over there.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) could everyone see that delicious meal picture? Yep, is that the kind of stuff I can look forward to? Is that the kind of fine dining I've been reading about in all the travel guides?
  8. QUOTE(SnB @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:55 PM) he means 'freedom bread' My Hillbilly wife tells me that you guys'll know it better as cinnamon eggy bread.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) I'll make this a trend. Wake up, Soxtalk on the Air, Wrote 2 pages of a paper for school, Sox game, cleaning my room and doing my laundry while watching the game; Getting ready to make tuna sandwich. I've been at work all day, made one good sale, watching the game with a beer or two. My daughters making us all French toast while she's watching ( of all things ) a re run of Due South. So that's what Chicago looks like.
  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) ^^^^^^^^ My productive work day: Sox game, order from peapod, nap. You think they'll deliver to the UK? My wife is missing her Grits.
  11. Now I know I've had a couple of beers, but this IS the same Widger, isn't it?
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:30 PM) I know during summer day games I'll have a pack of sunflower seeds that I'm busy accidentally shooting on the people in the row in front of me. :puke
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:26 PM) Yeah, most parks dont allow smoking in your seat. And in chicago, now you can only smoke indoors if you are less than 15 feet from the bar. You also have to keep 15 feet from the openings of buildings, so basically smokers are relegated to smoking in dirty alleys. How about chewing and spitting? ( now that is one of my weakness's).
  14. Crede is the BOSS. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Soccer coaches too... Oh yes.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) There is usually a dedicated smoking area. You can never smoke in the seats. IN fact, chicago is on its way to outlaw smoking all together, thank god. thanks, I'm not a smoker myself so it won't bother me. It's just interesting that over here you'll never see anyone with a beer in their hand while watching a game, but they will be smoking up a storm.
  16. I just noticed that I've never seen anybody in the crowd smoking. Is it banned in the ballparks or are baseball fans just healthy, clean living type people?
  17. QUOTE(bmags @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) is anyone gonna try and see The Fall 5/30 You must be a glutton for punishment. I think Mark is way past his prime, they were great in the early 80's around the time of Grotesque and Hex Enduction Hour but they're a bit long in the tooth nowadays.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 15, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) I've long said that if I were a GM, he'd be one of the first people I interviewed to potentially be my manager. I think very highly of DJ. He's very intelligent and a good individual and I think he'd be an above average manager. He really understands baseball and I like the insights he adds to the telecast (and like you say he's usually pretty accurate with what he says). On the other hand, Cintron half assed that play at 2nd and made the play much closer than it was. I'm missing DJ tonight. Anyone else watching on MLBtv?
  19. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ May 15, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) Deploderer I love your sig!! Why thank you kind sir.
  20. Hey I just noticed, you fellas missed my one year birthday 2 days ago. Shame.
