  1. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 07:26 AM) It is finally here. The World Series. It still isn't sinking in that we are in the WORLD SERIES. I know I was waiting to wake up and be back in my old apartment, proving that this season was just a dream.
  2. I did a yahoo images search and found this shoeless joe site. They seem like small pics too though. http://www.blackbetsy.com And this one was OK. http://www.thedeadballera.com/ Too bad you didn't ask for '83 scans. I just scanned in my old '83 Yearbook I've been saving.
  3. "Contrary to Wrigley's image as the largest bar on the North Side, Sox fans actually drink more beer and wine than Cubs fans do: 54 percent drank beer within the last month, compared with 47 percent of Cubs supporters." That's because our team's still playing.... um.... um... SCOREBOARD!!!
  4. I still just can't believe we're discussing the World Series WITH the White Sox participating!
  5. Ok, I understand. Can you do me a favor and post a large, clear version of the WS logo? I want to add it to any pics from the Series for my Wallpaper. Thanks in advance
  6. All year I've found pics from Foxsports or chicagosports, but they are small. Then I go to "Pics for Sigs" and they're the same pictures only larger - yet they stay clear. Is there a trick in photoshop to getting them bigger without losing the clarity?
  7. Can anybody point me to it, or share it somewhere? I need something while I'm jogging!!!! Thanks in advance!!
  8. Anyone have a large version of the skylines with "Go Sox" in lights on the building?
  9. fyi - My wife has wierd knack for the Pick to Click. Last night - Pauly, tonight Pods.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) Can we have the version of A.J. that was hitting over .300? That'd be nice. Anywho...this guy has been a godsend to the pitching staff. If nothing else, he deserves several years here for that. Definately, I don't think its any coincidence that all of a sudden this year, the pitching staff is loaded with near-aces.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 07:39 PM) 49 pitches for Big Jon through 4. 69 pitches for Lackey through 4. It seems like their bullpen is better than their rotation.
  12. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) i will be on it like michael jackson is on little boys. Or like Farmer said last night on the radio broadcast..."On it like a paper shirt."??????
  13. Preferably with Harold Baines if anyone cares to help me I would really appreciate it.
  14. Listening to the radio -Farmer just said "They'll be on him like a paper shirt." WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?
  15. LARGE RAIN ON THE WAY!! DON'T KNOW YET IF IT WILL ARRIVE DURING THE GAME! Will they call the game after 6 if they can't finish it today? Or continue it tomorrow?
  16. I have the best scenario - I'm out of market so I bought the gameday audio and have it sinked up with my TiVO at about a 30 second delay. So I got Jon and Ed, and no f***ing Ber-woman!! I predict Rowand goes yard today.
  17. First, I hate National coverage to begin with because all they ever do is compare a player to Bonds, or Clemens, or other guys that they've been told to promote by station execs who are looking for ratings. Nobody in the National audience knows who craig Grabek is, so there's no point in mentioning him. They're not exactly gonna look at a team's farm system and discuss because they don't have time. But that's a whole other topic. My hate for Berman has nothing to do with this series. I mainly hate him because he tries to make any event he's assigned to do more about himself rather than the event itself. He doesn't make a pleasant edition to the event. The worst part is that he's been doing the same shtick for 25 years now - IT'S OLD! STOP IT!! Watch him Sunday morning, I predict all of these - Will quote a mid to late 70's song lyric. "The RAAAAIDERS". (bad John Facenda voice)"The frozen tundra of Lambeau Field" - which John Facenda never said by the way. At some point he'll turn to Tommy and ask some dumb question as a spring board for a Tom Jackson's piece by saying something like "They where helmets, they breathe air, Tommy tell us more, who are these guys?" Watch him Sunday night you'll see: "WHOP!" when somebody fumbles or misses a tackle. "Rumblin', bumblin', stumblin'" Somebody at ESPN needs to tell him that he's becoming very Madden-like and to tone it down.
  18. I know the song's a bit of a whip, but I've found different versions of "Talkin' Baseball" by Terry Cashman. There's a BoSux version, Yankers, Cardinales, and a Mets. But I've never found a Sox version. By the way, anyone wanna share out that "Go Go Sox" song somewhere? Never heard it.
  19. I'm not worried about that fat tub of lard Wells. Make him work, get up on him and he'll throw in the towel. And he'll probably throw that towel right down the middle and we'll hit that too!! God it feels good to be optomistic about the Sox!
  20. Should mention I got that from the Daily Southtown.
