  1. Walking a .152 hitter.....gotta love it!
  2. I hope we score at least one run here soon....I'd hate to see Peavy throw a perfect game and have it go for naught.
  3. Well, I'm guessing that Jake has never whacked it an adult bookstore and I know he's never thrown a perfect game.
  4. That's 2 perfect innings.....only 7 more for Jake to put his name in the record books.
  5. Jake 1/9th of the way to a perfect game! He could do it tonight!
  6. All you doubters can eat it!!!! Bobby is a monster!!!
  7. I'm so glad that Jenks is back....we were never going to make a run for the division lead until we had our closer back.
  8. f***in Kotsay....I still can't believe we gave up BA to get him. We'll still be ok though....as long as Q avoids the double play, Lexi will tie this up with one swing of the bat.
  9. QUOTE (Lillian @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) Another thought: If the Angels would like one of our closers, we could give them one plus Paulie, and maybe get one of the better prospects. Lets not wave the white flag just as this team is starting to play well. We will win the division. We will win the ALCS. And we will win the WS. Boy I'm glad you're not the GM.
  10. If we don't win this game, Ozzie needs to fire Cora when he returns. Unbelievable to not put your closer in when the tying run is at the plate.
  11. Now put Bobby in to close it out. Be smart Joey.
  12. I can't believe everyone is so down on Jenks. He only has one blown save all season. There's much bigger problems with this club than Bobby.
  13. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 28, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) Pretty sure it will be Thornton. Jenks is our closer...I can't see an interim manager attempting to the rock the boat.
  14. All we need is a good outing from Jenks in the 9th to secure the W!
  15. I know its only 2 in a row now.....but I got the feeling that these two are the start of at least 10 wins in a row.....maybe twenty.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 16, 2010 -> 04:11 PM) They won a game on the road, in the loudest arena in the NHL, in which they were penalized 5 times compared to none, and their rookie goalie was outstanding. You can't really ask for much more. Niemi has been good far more than he hasn't thus far in the playoffs and its fantastic to see him turning into our franchise goalie. Hopefully he can keep it up and get us 7 more playoff victories. I'm hoping for about 107 more playoff victories from him (and 3 or 4 Stanley Cups!)
  17. Lets hope Vizquel is trade bait at the deadline.
  18. Wow...Mark usually throws his no hitters against teams that hit the ball well. You don't expect him to do it against Kansas City.
  19. Quentin needs to go down to the minors and find his swing.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 12, 2010 -> 11:20 AM) Wow. I wish I'd purchased a Rios jersey instead of a Beckham. Were they even available in the offseason? I'm guessing they weren't in high demand after the 2009 season.
  21. We are rapidly gaining ground on first place in the division
