  1. After finding out that team won 58-0, the throw isnt all that classy by that team, but to throw a football like that behind the back is not easy
  2. thats just a small part of her demands, NSS. Check this out
  3. Is it better than this throw? http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/a-first-high...back-pass-26692
  4. QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 11:45 AM) Kyyle, the Skeptical Hippo is awesome, by the way. sometimes google throws weird things my way. This one struck me as really funny, and I dont really know why. It had to be a good one to unseat the pic of Wilt Chamberlain, Arnold Schwarzennegger and Andre the Giant
  5. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 11:30 AM) With Priest Holmes it was something with his neck. Kinda fluky actually. He probably could have played another 2-3 years if that never happened to him. He had a pretty bad hip condition as well, it cost him 2 games in 02 at the end of the season when you couldnt stop him. I beleive it was a similar condition to what Bo Jackson had(degenerative hip)
  6. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 11:02 AM) Yeah man. We are hooked on each other pretty damn bad. Mario called me a p****. I thought he called you that regardless of your relationship status? I kid I kid. Wait, no i dont
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 07:31 AM) 1. People here are missing the point when they comment on the looks of this girl. Guys who do this sort of thing habitually, especially celebrities, are doing it because they love to be worshipped. They were probably beat up a lot in school as kids, or otherwise had fragile egos, and now that they are making it in the world, they want everyone to bow at their feet. It really doesn't matter to them if the girl is a supermodel or not - they are just unable to resist the urge to spend time with someone who looks at them as if they were a god. 2. Aside from missing the point, its also a little insulting to attack this girl's appearence, no? Did she piss in your cheerios or something? I don't feel particularly bad for HER per se, because she chose to be stupid just like he did. Just wanted to point out the lack of class in making those comments, and also to say I doubt that everyone posting in this thread is a stunning adonis themselves. I agree, and what i said earlier I regret and shouldnt of said it. Hundley is crazy, and she should catch flak for what she did not how she looks. The culprit here is Phillips and should remain that way
  8. Just a small bit of love for the Football Salukis maintaining their #3 ranking. FCS doesnt get a lot of play here, gotta give the egyptian dogs a little shout out

    Whoa

they can try "drunk and consentual" all they want. A portion of these guys were 18+, and she was 15, so it is automatically statutory rape, even if she did say it was ok(which she probably didnt). And contributing to the delinquency of a minor isnt gonna help either. Heck, I dont even think kids over 18 are allowed on a high school campus, and these guys were at a high school dance.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 06:36 PM) Well I seem to remember him using primarily an overhand slot in 05'. Maybe I am mistaken. The second half of 05 was when he came out from all sides and started showing sidearm a lot more. It wasnt a dominant part of his repertoire until 06, and it worked pretty well until he hurt himself in 06(July?), and then he was never "right" again. To me it was a great way for him to offset his over-the-top pitches, but he fell in love with it and went to it too often, and that was something that people said was his problem in New York(falling in love with his breaking pitches and not using his FB enough).

    Whoa

i hope they find each and every one of the spectators and pin them to the wall with something that will not leave their records.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 06:04 PM) To me, it's somewhat difficult to criticize the contract, despite what a disaster it turned out to be. At the time the deal was handed out, Jose was dominant, with little or no signs of regression. I guess one could cite Jose's age as a key reason why he was likely to regress, but given the way he was pitching at the time (pure stuff), it appeared as though he was defying age at the time anyways. Even had we waited until the beginning of 06', the way Jose pitched in his first several starts indicated that he would continue his dominant stretch, and was deserved of the type of contract he was handed at the end of 05' anyways. Personally, I think the trouble mainly stemmed when Jose was asked to vary his arm slots. I don't recall him doing so during his dominant run in 05', and it doesn't seem like he started battling his control and inconsistency with the forkball until the multiple arm slots began. I thought he wanted to do it more because that was more of how he worked in Cuba?
  13. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 03:13 PM) Hogan signs with TNA, and Bischoff comes with him. Ugh. http://pwinsider.com/article/42534/hulk-ho...th-him.html?p=1 this cant last long. Russo and Bischoff cant stand each other. The harder TNA tries, the more they look like a weak copy of WCW
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 02:04 PM) Urlacher was most effective when we had Traylor and Williams to keep him clean. Obviously their size keeps personnel such as them from being placed into a Cover 2 scheme, but one would think there would be a hybrid system... Ray Lewis is another guy who benefitted immensely from having humungous tackles occupying space in front of him during their superbowl run and following years. He had guys like Goose in front of him taking doubleteams and blockers and he could just go anywhere he wanted. Im not saying those guys up front MADE Ray Lewis, he is still an amazing player, but they allowed him to be that much better, which is what Traylor and Washington did for Urlacher
  15. I think this whole series hinges on Pedro in game 2. If he shows up, it goes to 7 games. If he doesnt, game over, Hamel or no Hamel
  16. Dan Snyder and Redskin fans dont like each other too much
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 01:02 PM) When you finally get to watch a team play several games in a row, you discover many players are just like ours ... inconsistent. When you don't see them on a consistent basis, you tend to overvalue them because they are the unknown. They get hot and cold just like our players. That's why a .300 batting average is considered godlike. Three successes in 10 at bats. Figgins is no savior; just as Pods is no savior. But Pods arguably was better than Figgo this season; Pods was better than a lot of players. If people watched all players as closely as they do the Sox they'd see it. That said ... the Yankees' dominance in the playoffs shows it truly was their year. Please argue this. Include defense and offense http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6986 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=4405 Right now I am looking at a difference of .006 in BA, Chone has a better SB%, OBP%, plays infield and outfield, more RBI, more runs scored. Please argue this
  18. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 11:35 AM) yes, yes and i have seen how these over hyped prospects, especially pitchers, have turned out and they arent worth the ridiculous financial risk. do you think the red sox wish they paid dice k still? he helped them win a world series in 07, Im sure that counts for something
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 11:10 AM) I see DeWayne Wise syndrome has taken over Bears fans... Blame the 4th stringer. Roach is MLB now, he is calling the plays, making the changes, He is basically the quarterback of the defense. When the defense performs that bad, and the guy supposed to be in charge is way out of position consistently, and the defense is not making plays, he is going to catch blame. This isnt really a Wise situation. He was supposed to start because Ozzie wanted him to after ST(because he didnt feel anyone was better suited for the job), not because BA was hurt.
  20. lots of heads beating on walls here.
  21. Roach was straight up out of position everytime I saw a replay. Benson was faking him out of his shoes
