I dont know if this has been posted, but bat-girl did a hilarious lego rendition of the fight AJ vs Barrett

When this commercial line has more than the three commercials i have seen, i think i will appreciate it more. But it is getting pretty boring pretty quick.

in the chili peppers thread QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:35 PM) Nickelback plagarizes their own material. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:49 PM) Why don't they try to rip off someone that doesn't suck?

Would you look at this, Kotex boy is fanning the flames of Joey Cora biting someone during the fight. It is so easy to write columns when you only have to watch the game and post-game on Comcast. Mariotti doesnt have to leave the house.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 23, 2006 -> 03:30 AM) This stuff is just getting old...... Well, at least it isnt Ozzie that has to call someone else to straighten it out.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:18 PM) Dempster looks terrible now. He's recanting his story like a little school boy b****. Comcast Sports Net ran his comments off The Score, then Guillen's response, then Dempster's extended rant. He's really going off now, suggesting he was "misquoted" and essentially blaming Mike North. I don't have the exact words available, but North basically asks about Cora biting someone, to which Dempster replies it was one of the most "bush things he's ever seen." You could infer from those comments that he witnessed the act with his own eyes. Next sentence, Dempster says Cora's behind the white line for a reason; if he's going to get involved, he'll end up injured. Dempster back peddled when interviewed about these comments. It's easy to say you were misquoted in print, or perhaps taken out of context with soundclips--but when something is played without interruption it's difficult to misinterpret. This is what I thought happened. North got his stories confused about what DJ was saying happened in San Diego and what happened at the game during the fight, and asked Dempster about it who answered before he knew what he was talking about. Both of those guys are at fault here.

How f***ing awesome was that game? Thomas got his cheers, and two homeruns Comeback win. Extra innings Suicide f***ING squeeze. PABLO! MACKOWIAK! DYE! BIG BAD BOBBY JENKS AND HIS WEAPON OF CHOICE, THE YELLOWHAMMER!

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 22, 2006 -> 05:24 PM) Managers have to back up everything their players say even if he has to take both sides. Example: Hill said it was a dirty play, Barrett said it was a clean play. Dusty must defend both of his players. lmao

those djs sped up the tom petty tunes a little bit, but it is still VERY close. Im dissapointed in the Peppers

Mariotti just said that AJ was mocking Zambrano's "religious beliefs" with his heart tap upward point after his homerun yesterday, and that makes him classless. I find it hilarious that AJ keeps saying he has never met Mariotti and that he has never been in the clubhouse since he has played in Chicago, because Mariotti has many opinions about AJ's attitude.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 22, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) That may have been the first time he has ever complimented Thomas without labeling hiim as the "Big Blurt." Too bad he'll have nothing to write about our fans, since they'll give him a standing ovation. Mariotti ALWAYS finds time to call him the Big Blurt

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 22, 2006 -> 03:29 PM) I call it the HR that killed Courtney Duncan. Won't help you much, but I recorded the grandslam off Comcast Sports Net before last years 'Crosstown showdown.' I'll watch it in a few minutes just because you can't. LMAO

Does it get funnier than this?
-
Actually it was DJ who mentioned that Cora bit someone in a brawl, back when they played together in San Diego. Thats why I am thinking that these stories got confused, because Jacque Jones was interviewed after the game and didnt say a word about it. You would think if the guy got bit in Saturdays scrum, it would have been talked about immediately afterwards.

Bruce Levine speculates about Cubs suspensions

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 21, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) If you're on the DL you can not run out onto the field, appearantly Derek Lee did not know this/care. QUOTE(Sox It To Em @ May 21, 2006 -> 07:40 PM) Wow, did not know this. Did Contreras run out on the field yesterday? As of yesterday, he was still on the DL... But Contreras pitched in yesterdays game, so he couldnt have been on the DL, right? -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:12 AM) I'm just going to throw a note out there for you to enjoy your suspension for insulting people after you were warned not to I was just going to mention that I have seen at least 3 of W2B's posts censored by moderators, so i doubt we will be seeing much more. I guess I was right

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:06 AM) Don't mind me. I saw this article earlier this weekend, and my eyes must have went dyslexic on me. Thats ok. Its the Soxtalk burn in the back of your eyes. I get that too.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 21, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) The commercials from both Burger King and Hardee's. For one, I don't need to hear people eat. Secondly, I'm not going to eat a burger to appear manly. (Yes, I'm waiting for the jokes on that second part.) LMAO "Would you shave my, uhhh, coin purse?" "Aaahhh-HA! Uhhh, no way..."

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:51 AM) That's definitely not him in the picture, unless he's ambidextrous. Danny Almonte is a lefty http://www.who2.com/dannyalmonte.html http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/20...gh-school_x.htm

You know what I find strange about Mariotti's rantings and ravings are the strange things he picks up on to complain about. Today for the second straight day he has complained about Pierzynski telling the media what Michael Barrett said to him before he got punched. Yesterday it was Pierzynski breaking some kind of MLB "code" of not repeating what is said on the field. Today he reiterated that point again, though not as strongly : http://www.suntimes.com/output/mariotti/cst-spt-jay22.html I am surprised that todays column doesnt have a shot at the Hawk. Mariotti is usually good for a "tit for tat" thing with Hawk at least once during the season.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 21, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) Cabo Wabo is good Yes, Sammy Hagar has his upside with his Cabo Wabo stuff.

You know, Comcasts is just a mess. They have had months to plan this rivalry week bulls***, and during this little batting practice pre-game show it is completely silent until the wandering reporters find someone to talk to. What a joke, they should have had this stuff planned out so there was no silence during the broadcast, only showing players hitting balls. And oh by the way, BP isnt cool to watch from the pitcher camera. BP is about seeing where the ball lands, at least give us that. Its pretty boring to watch guys just swinging the bat and chatting with other players.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 21, 2006 -> 02:07 AM) This nearly made me fall off my chair. Whoa, is that THE G-man? The same G-Man who has been suspended from pretty much every sox website ever created?
