QUOTE(Felix @ May 19, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) My uncle suggested that I listened to Cake, so I've been listening to them. Pretty good stuff Cake is really cool, but I have to be in the right mood for them. My favorite cd is Fashion Nugget, favorite song is The Distance. I like that they take breaks between cds, and then come with something a little different, yet distinctly Cake-sounding

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/audio/3-way-prank-call.html This isnt a video, this is a soundbite of a radio duo who call seperate phone sex lines and have them talk to each other to see how long it takes to figure it out. The girls basically read the same script to each other, lol

Cubs conflict of interest shows up again....
Kyyle23 replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in The Diamond Club
Dan McGrath was on the Score with Mike North this morning, and said that this took place a month ago, and most of it aimed towards him had to do with a misconception that was written about Jacque Jones that Andy McPhail didnt appreciate. Sullivan was on with Mulligan and Hanley and said that apparently McPhail hasnt liked his stuff for a long time and that this was a cumulative effect, not so much on something specific that he had written recently, more of his career work. And he said that McPhail got pretty personal as well, but wouldnt say what it was. McGrath said it wasnt profanity laced, Sullivan didnt comment. -
QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ May 19, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) that may be but watching baseball in Metrodome sucks I went to the Twins-Sox tilt last Sunday night. It was the first game in over 2 years (I had free tickets).. and Metrodome is.. .just horrible I cant even put it into words I was talking to my Dad about it, and I was arguing with him that in the existence of the Metrodome you would think that some sort of realistic semi-permanent removable wall would have been made for the outfield wall, but year after year its the same old baggy wall. Thats just not right. When you see those outfielders go for balls they can run headlong into those support poles out there and hurt themselves. I went to the Superdome in 2002 for the Superbowl, and I have to admit I was stunned at how crappy that place was. I couldnt really believe that the NFL actually chose to have their grandest game of the season inside that s***ty dome. I loved New Orleans, but the Superdome is less than Super.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 19, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) And, the Sox move to 19-3 when I start the game thread. Not trying to suggest anything, though. Do you think you can bear the weight of this great responsibility?

MBINAA! MBINAA! MBINAA! MBINAA! MBINAA! MBINAA! MBINAA! Hooray! Hooray! MBINAA! The cleancut Buehrle steals the show, Thome drops another bomb, Maddux is shelled and almost gets tossed for being a b****, What a great game.

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 19, 2006 -> 10:25 AM) Of course there are no unfit mothers in Chicago or wherever the hell your from. That was a classless comment to make. Oh sure there are unfit mothers in Chicago. If Britney was from some place in Chicago, my comment would be :"Send her ass back to (insert Chicago city, town, street), this sort of behavior must be ok where she is from." I luv when you jump in and defend something like this. Its almost a gaurantee that if someone makes a comment about a generalization of any sort of an area, you are there to call them classless. LOL. Carry on Yasny, there are generalizations happening somewhere....in some thread....

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ May 18, 2006 -> 10:50 PM) Where are all these guys with serious playoff experience? They have one guy who has actually won anything in I-Rod, and Maggs took part in a sweep in the ALDS. I must have missed a lot of playoff appearances by Dimitri Young, Carlos Guillen, Chris Shelton, Placido Polanco, and Brandon Inge. Carlos Guillen drove in the series clinching run vs the White Sox in 2000 when he was with the Mariners, and ended up with playoff experience in both 2000 and 2001 http://www.baseball-reference.com/g/guillca01.shtml Placido Polanco had plenty of playoff experience when he was the super utility man for the Cardinals, again in 2000 and 2001, and batted .280 overall in the playoffs http://www.baseball-reference.com/p/polanpl01.shtml Dmitri Young even had 7 at-bats in 1996 with the Cardinals. Granted, it was a long time ago, but he did play in the playoffs. It isnt alot of playoff experience, but those guys have been there.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) I'm pretty sure the Sox suck, doesn't really matter what the date is, this team will not being making the playoffs. Hahaha, MBINAA LMAO QUOTE(zenryan @ May 18, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) this thread is dumb this post is dumb

IIRC, this isnt the first time(by a long shot) that she has been spotted getting drunk in the past 5 months. Why is it that she can be drunk while pregnant and just get a pass on it? She almost drops her kid, holds him in her lap while driving, drinks while pregnant, lets her kid drop from his high chair. Yep, thats a fit mom. Send her ass back to Louisiana, this sort of behavior must be ok where she is from.

QUOTE(Felix @ May 19, 2006 -> 06:28 AM) How did *this* thread get to be 3 pages? We were just discussing the possibilities of moving Tyler Lumsden to Left and Darren Blakely to Centerfield. Sheesh.

Mark Hendrickson isnt having a bad year, really. 5 Games 2-3 record 3.24 ERA 20 Ks 12 BB 1 complete game 1 Shutout 5 HR allowed Hopefully the Sox can get to him early

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:23 AM) I just dont like when farmer talks about his playing experiences. He was never that great of a player, yet he makes it seem like he was sweet. His player days stories are funny, because you and I both know that he wasnt this cool cat he makes himself out to be in all of these stories
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:12 AM) Where the f is prior BTW. Its pretty sad that a pitcher who had shoulder surgery is back before someone who had "some discomfort" you didnt hear? Food poisoning set him back a few weeks http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...-sportscubs-hed QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 18, 2006 -> 10:37 AM) Mariotti could write decent stuff the rest of his career and he's still a jackass. Please don't refer to Kotex Boy as god ever again. Also, what's with posting any of this Cubs crap? We're world champs, why are we even talking about them, their fans or what is going on there? Its been a rapidly growing snowball sailing downhill for the cubsessed one, cuck the fubs. I am almost willing to bet he knows more about the Cubs than the Sox

QUOTE(Steff @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:40 AM) Ligue is an idiot asshole, who I would bet high wouldn't know the meaning of "1908" anyway... it was the childish behavior I was referring to. I will bet he is high also.....

QUOTE(WCSox @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:06 AM) Is it just me, or has Farmer seemed a bit agitated over the past couple of weeks? His voice seems louder and more rushed than usual. Then again, I'm listening at work and have it turned up just loud enough to hear. I dont know. Maybe he feels rushed now because he isnt the color guy, and he realized that PBP is his job now and he doesnt have time to run through his endless, never-get-to-the-point stories if he talks so slow through PBP. His only choice is to rush it and talk loud so he can continue with his stories.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 18, 2006 -> 10:58 AM) Actually, according to the police report, the choking happened before the bat throw. I see, so this must be the little brother trying to be like his big brother.....

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ May 18, 2006 -> 08:43 AM) He's more fluid, and it seems that him and Farmer have better chemistry. Someone probably had to bring Farmer to the side and let him know that Singleton was a rookie, and to stop being so harsh. I think that was the worst thing about listening to them, Farmer was just blowing Chris up every chance he got and Chris was understandably timid about it. It is one thing to say you can narrate a game on the radio, its an entirely different beast when you step in front of the mic and realize that there are so many people listening to you. Farmer has gotten better with Singleton, and as a result I hear Singleton getting better on the air. He still stumbles and pauses and such, but he has only one way to go and that is up. I dont know if anyone caught it the other day, but there was a shot of Farmer and Singleton on TV and Farmer had this neon yellow shirt on and Singleton was wearing his flipdown sunglasses because it was so bright. LOL, that is the kind of thing you want to see.

QUOTE(Steff @ May 18, 2006 -> 08:30 AM) Truly riveting last night :rolly ... I'm torn between the 61 year old trying to pass himself off as a 40 year old.. or the one that was looking for some cat action as my new all time favs. :headshake tell me that these are available on cnn.com again.
