  1. QUOTE(danman31 @ May 12, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) Is it just me or is 2 and a half weeks not that outrageous? A bit long maybe, but newsworthy, no. 2 and a half weeks before you see the firstborn grandchild of your daughter? I think my parents would have a big problem with that, yes.
  2. gotta love the mom who lets her 11 year old daughter get drunk, laid, and pregnant then professes to be proud of her daughter who also-by-the-way smokes 20 cigarettes a day 8 months into her pregnancy. Everyplace has their own trailor trash.
  3. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 12, 2006 -> 06:09 PM) Hawk always mentions he would throw as many lefties as possible against Santana. It takes away his change. LOL, hence the reason Hawk is broadcasting and Ozzie is managing.
  4. QUOTE(juddling @ May 12, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) Star Wars---the way it should be that is hilarious. Robot CHicken is a great show.
  5. Does Pablo get the start tonite? He hits Santana pretty well
  6. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 12, 2006 -> 05:09 PM) Rowand and BA are both amazing out there in CF as far as I can tell. BA's defensive upside is through the roof. Hammer, no green, no sarcasm, I absolutely love your love for defense. We may agree to disagree on other unnamed people, but I do appreciate it.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 12, 2006 -> 03:16 AM) I thought it was interesting that the DA had the cabbie that supplied the alibi rearrested on an old charge. Doesnt surprise me. His girls have been discredited, now he is flinging some more mud the other way. I have a feeling its gonna be like this for quite some time.
  8. My 20 gb Ipod has been solid since I got it. I had one little strange occurence, which is really hard to explain, but it hasnt happened again.
  9. Those Philly "fans" are ridiculous. How can you criticize Rowand for making that catch? What do they know about winning championships? LOL
  10. QUOTE(Brian @ May 12, 2006 -> 03:26 PM) 3 errors so far in the 5th for the Cubbies. Too funny. Cedeno threw a ball in the dugout cuz he thought time was called when nobody asked for it. Have up 5 that inning. Would of loved to hear Santo. Barrett started some stuff with Dave Roberts as he scored for no reason. I saw that. Roberts crossed homeplate and Barrett said something to him as he went by, and Roberts took exception to it.
  11. Its fun to think about, and torii would, IMO, make the lineup much more formidable and could offer at the very least the same defense as BA, but it isnt happening. I dont think there is any way in hell Terry Ryan is going to help the Sox out this year. I think the few fans remaining would revolt.
  12. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 12, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) I am logged in. But it seems to change my name from "jackie hayes" to "jackie_hayes". So maybe it doesn't recognize "jackie_hayes". Anyone with spaces in their name try the chat? you know, now that i think about it, wharris1 left last night, and logged right back in and his name was w_h_a_r_r_i_s_1. I didnt think much of it, I thought he was just goofing around, but maybe he put spaces in his name to see what happened.
  13. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ May 12, 2006 -> 07:47 AM) Yup, regardless of the amount of padding, the same result would of happened. I dont know if he would have broken it if there was padding there. It looked like he went face first into the metal bar of the fence. If there was padding there, he might have broken it, but I dont know if he would be in the hospital waiting for surgery to repair his nose right now. The Sox should have told the Phillies they needed to Rowand-proof the outfield fences.
  14. You see? If we had Rowand he would have been injured by now and Brian Anderson would be starting anyways. Great catch, that guy will run into a wall for any team he is on, you gotta love that.
  15. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 12, 2006 -> 12:57 AM) No more aliases? you can have an alias, make your sign in name whatever you want. You just have to be a registered soxtalk user to access the chat
  16. So this is the reflection of the city where this picture was taken? Because this story makes it seem as if some random city mirage popped up for 4 hours, which I dont believe at all.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 11, 2006 -> 10:55 PM) Anybody have a link to Rick Sutcliff making an ass out of himself? yep, front page on chicagosports.com http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines LOL, i bet the Cubs love this kind of publicity from Sutcliffe and Murray.
  18. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 11, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) I keep getting a message that I can't connect to the server. Anyone else find this? Any ideas? There were a couple of us in the chat tonite playing around with all of the sounds, colors, fonts, and away messages. I had no problems. Its going to take the chat to a new level
  19. Anyone wanna give the new chat a spin? No white sox game today, but then again the chats tend to wander anyways..... btw, the new chat is AWESOME
  20. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 11, 2006 -> 06:08 PM) Well, I am still a Frank fan. And now once the rest of SoxTalk catches wind of this; this will become the latest thread where Frank-bashers must make their voices heard, yet again. Im not bashing. I honestly saw the bottom line and went online and posted this, I didnt know if it was on MLB.com yet or not.
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 11, 2006 -> 06:03 PM) Just a hunch. Could it be a strained right quadriceps muscle? It's nothing serious. http://www.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/gameday...t=.jsp&c_id=oak No fair. you cheated
  22. I just read on the bottom line that Frank Thomas left the game today with an undisclosed injury. Should we start placing bets on what that injury is?
  23. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ May 11, 2006 -> 04:50 PM) I have a feeling Sony is going to be taking some serious losses on PS3 if they are charging $600 bucks. People can afford it but why not just invest it towards a computer at that price? I honestly dont think the casual/average gamer can afford something at that price. It makes the Xbox 360 seem like a bargain and the supposed proice of the Wii($150-$200) seem bargain basement.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 11, 2006 -> 05:20 PM) I really liked those bats. LOL, me too! I got one back in 91 or 92.
  25. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 11, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) I agree. I just threw out my season tickets. This is ridiculous. where do you live? Im going to come get those tix out of the trash for you and properly dispose of them
