  1. Holy s***, $600? Man, those games better come with a complimentary handjob.
  2. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 8, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) Yeah? Is it mostly based on their offensive numbers? Because that's pretty much the last thing that I look at if we're talking about catchers. Victor Martinez would rank #1 in fantasy leagues, but in reality, he's a lousy catcher. I mean, Pierzynski f***ing owns him if we're talking straight up C-slot. You name the intangible, and it's all AJ. Now, if you put them both at 1B (where Victor should be playing), then it's not even close. He blows AJ out of the f***ing water. So you are saying that Martinez cannot call a game? I totally agree. However, I wonder how AJ would throw runners out with pitchers who actually hold runners. We never get to see him get a chance to throw anyone out because it seems the runners get an extra 3 steps on him.
  3. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 8, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) If Charlie sucks, we're looking at 10+ Stolen Bases for the Angels on Wednesday. However, I think he will do well. They have to get on base first, and they havent been doing that much lately. I was just reading that they got 4 hit by Roy Halladay tonite
  4. Stu Scott and his lazy eye were hilarious
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 8, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) I really despise you for calling them my Twins. Your Indians arent doing that well either 2 men on, no outs in the bottom of the 5th. Slugger Doug Meintsomething is up to bat
  6. LOL, the main page headline has changed 3 times in the last 3 hours
  7. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 8, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) Make sure its all backed up. I didn't have mine backed up and was only able to recover about 1000 of 2600 songs using a program called RecoverMyFiles. It was not a lot of fun. The stuff I couldn't recover was because it took all of the other songs and spliced them together. Apparently when you delete something off the ipod, it keeps it on there but is marked for deletion. You can't access it to play but its still there. Then it actually deletes it if you need the space on the drive. This is the case with a lot of hard drives. What is the best method of backing it up? I never really thought about it, now that I am thinking about it I want to do it
  8. So McCarthy IS an option should Jose miss a start. interesting
  9. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 8, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) My ipod just crashed the other day so I may not be the best person to ask right now. My worst nightmare. If that happens, I think I will have a heart attack. I have spent an awful long time putting my little jukebox together.
  10. QUOTE(quickman @ May 8, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) Well the score has not reported it in over 90 minutes. Its seems people are starting to back off, which means there may not be a problem yet. Levine is worng more times than right. Griffey should be our center fielder right now if I believed that idiot. He never really gauranteed that. He put his reputation on Omar Vizquel though, that was pretty funny. I just listened to the SC update and Levine said that Contreras is going to wait and see if the pain is gone by tomorrow, and if not then Haeger will be recalled.
  11. All I wanted throughout the entire thread was for wcw to say something along the lines of "Hey, i wish I could tell you guys my source, but as of right now, I cannot". I checked back, and I just kept asking him for some sort of confirmation and I was met with "You guys are all just dissing Haeger", which I was not, and did not throughout the entire thread. I really dont feel the need to apologize because backing up facts on this website is pretty important to your credibility. Yeah, I ran with the /green thread titles for a little while, but it was all in fun. I never called the guy a liar or anything like that.
  12. QUOTE(hi8is @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:38 PM) i still dont get whats up with all that indians crap he dawns. lol, dons, not dawns
  13. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) My choices for this are either: 1. Haeger 1A. Nomo 2. Broadway That's it. No one else would even be considered. fixed that for you
  14. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) Qwerty being positive? Save it. Few and far between those posts are
  15. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) Well, if it makes anybody feel better, here are the AL offensive rankings for the Angels: Average=11th Home Runs=11th Runs=12th So atleast Haeger won't be going up against an offensive juggernaut. Just try not to let that Vlad guy beat you. And sox-killer Darin Erstad just went on the DL
  16. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) Didn't he get roughed up a bit this spring, and then they had Charlie Hough work with him a bit? He's been as good as you can be at Charlotte, and was pretty good his last spring training outing. I bet Hough could come in and still pitch 5 innings. That guy never threw fast as it was, his age didnt matter
  17. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) Ok, I just can't resist...why? Are we going for moral victories here? Or, maybe where wins and losses don't count like little league? Whose bringing the Capri Suns and Orange wedges?
  18. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:09 PM) Huh? I don't get your point. Mine was that you can't compare losing Contreras to losing El Duque. Now what's yours? I dont have one. Im just arguing with you because you brought the Cubs into the conversation
  19. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 8, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) Nobody in their right mind thought Duque would go a full season without landing on the DL atleast once. That's not a good comparison. Nobody in their right mind thought Contreras was going to end up as good as he was since the All star break. Now we count on it.
  20. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:51 PM) How hard was it to understand what I said? It's the Cubs that always have the pitching injuries. I'm sure it makes them feel good to see us have one for a change. That's all I meant. I understood just fine, dont you worry about that. It happened last year with El Duque as well, and the sox got along just fine.
  21. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) Did anyone listen to the game on the radio on Thursday? If I remember correclty, Singleton said something like they (I would assume Ozzie and Herm) were yelling to see if Jose was ok and he shook them off like he was fine. After this little 5 second blip, I heard nothing more. Does anyone else remember hearing this? Now that you mention it, I kind of remember that. I thought they were all just joking around at the time
  22. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) We have crippling pitching injuries all the time? Who knew. Yeah, you would think this indicated a 3 year trend or something. I need to go find a Cub fan to sympathize with.....
  23. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:43 PM) I know Cubs fans have to feel pretty good right now. about....?
  24. It would be hilarious if Bruce was browsing Soxtalk.....
  25. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 8, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) Why appologize? All he had to do was give a little more information than he did he wouldn't have been doubted like he was. bingo. And the approach was very troll-rumor like.
