We’ve all been in that situation where you’re in a public place and you just have to go. Then when you come back you know that everyone knows you were gone too long to have just been peeing, but you gotta hope that nobody calls you out. Poor Bourgeois just had that happen on a National scale.

Pedro could have helped him out and maybe sent someone out to man the base for an inning but nope just a few shots of the entire dugout looking confused

Those who remember Bevington, was he worse than Grifol?

I thought Ventura and Renteria were bad, but they look like geniuses in comparison to Pedro.

This site would have literally caught fire if it was around during Bevingtons tenure

Jesse Rogers was just saying on Carm & Jurk that Pedro Grifol does not have respect by those around Baseball outside of the Sox walls.  Yikes.

Well if anyone knows how to navigate a Tim Floyd situation, it’s definitely JR

Going 61-101 with this years team may have been acceptable.  Having that record with last years team was not.   And losing 120+ games this year with this crappy roster is still not.  He's the worst manager in the history of MLB and it’s not questionable.

Hundred loss seasons should never be acceptable.

and trust the white Sox to be the one fucking team to f*** up so much that when they finally lost over 100 they can’t even get a goddamn lottery pick in the draft for it

Even if that happens, they will have plenty of money to spend. They have about $50 million guaranteed counting Robert, Benintendi, Fedde, and a handful of buyouts including Eloy's at $3 million and Moncada's at $5 million. Filling out the rest of the roster with minimum salary guys would leave them a $65 million payroll, and that's without considering whether Robert, Fedde, or Benintendi could be moved during 2024. They could spend $50 million and still have a serious payroll cut.

This sounds an awful lot like 2017-2019 projections that we all figured would definitely be spent wisely

We should start to see some arrivals in 2024.  Montgomery, barring an injury, is pretty close to a lock to make his debut this season. Ramos and Quero aren't too far away either.

I would guess we see a couple of more of the starting pitchers out of Thorpe, Iriarte, and Eder.  There is definitely room for a breakout to get here out of the block of AA starters as well.

Obviously out of a group that big some will backtrack, but I feel like we start to see the first wave of kids start to replace some of the placeholders.

Pretty awesome that we get P Grif to usher these kids into the majors.  Couldn’t have asked for a better guy to handle it

I can keep an open mind about Getz, but that does not mean I am optimistic. I have been a fan for a long time, and I have never seen it this bad. JR sees the new stadium as his legacy. Even you are a fan who wants the new stadium, it is still a good 5-6 years away. So much has to happen to turn things around, but the team has a tone-deaf owner. More losing is on the way.

A strange thing, this man believes a building (which eventually will be ditched) is a greater legacy for him than on field success

  8. You have to think that there is a warning sign hanging over the white Sox org due to the way things have been done, and when JR pulled the rug on Hinch and went with TLR it went noticed.  Couple that with the results over the last two years, and you have to think that has adversely affected interest in the job to the point where guys (who just wanted that job so bad it didn’t matter where it came from) like Pedro were the ones who were in the final group that Hahn/Kenny chose from
