You're right and that's why the Bears will be moving on. But let's not act like Fields' 10-28 record is entirely on him. The Bears were basically losing on purpose in his first full year.

And in his first year Nagy was doing everything he could to not help him

He won't be once they draft Caleb Williams. Hell, he might not even be the best QB on the roster now. The gap between Fields and Bagent isn't much.

The gap between them is huge, and I am off the Fields train.  Bagents arm removes all competition between them

Wow - Wilkins got paid. I really wonder what Raider(s) do at QB.  Maybe him and Getsy end up reuniting for the right price - if they are going to spend all that money on Wilkins they need to do something at QB.

I am curious if Bears will break the bank on Hunter - he's going to get paid big time.  But you kind of have to pay up if you want to get a difference maker like that in FA.

Supposedly Hunter and Denver are working on a deal

He did get better towards the end with 2 really good games against the Falcons and Cardinals. But I'm not sure if that was him or just the Falcons and Cardinals being bad.

His numbers were better but he never had that burst he was showing before he got hurt

If it's one thing I've learned about the Bulls this year, it's that they'll lure you in when you don't expect it and then when they're about to hit .500, they disappoint you.

They have been hovering at .500 for over a month now after they went on a run to get out of the hole they put themselves in at the beginning of the season.  I think they have one more run in them, I just don’t know if it’s gonna be a good run or a losing run 😂

  6. I think the current banner perfectly reflects the effort of the organization and should remain that way, perfectly reflective

they want to put some effort into it, then we can wake our artist from his slumber

In the minors, absolutely (hot gun?). You have to wonder if his elbow was beginning to give a few starts earlier.

He has 20 pitches in the majors over 100 prior to his last Tommy John according to fangraphs.  (Like one since)

    https://blogs.fangraphs.com/kopech-turns-to-rubble/

he wasn’t averaging 100 but he certainly flashed it

Yeah, but have you ever been to Dodger Stadium? There is literally nothing except parking lots around Chavez Ravine, and the downtown LA  area that is close to Dodger Stadium is pretty sketchy. Yet they lead both leagues in attendance year after year. Or Yankee Stadium -- the South Bronx is better now than it was 30 years (like a South Side stadium we all know and love), but would you want to hang out there after a game? Nope. Yet they are the top AL draw year after year. Citi Field in Queens, same thing. Yet the second team in NYC still consistently draws over 2.5 million.

Sox Park may have its issues (the terrible initial suburban design of the park before the 2003 remodeling, of course, being the main problem). But it's still the best stadium for transit in the city by far, what with two L lines and a Metra station near it, and an expressway literally adjacent to it.

They lead the league in attendance because they spend on their team and they are really good and have been for a long time.  The Sox have not done this and are terrible.

I absolutely am in the opposite camp as you. I love every single thing about his column most weeks.  Just find it so enjoyable and if something isn't interesting I skip pass, but just a lot of interesting nuggets.

I am as pro QB as possible - but his proposal for the Bears is very reasonable. Those are not like overly favorable offers skewed heavy to the Bears, if anything I think Bears could potentially get a bit more out of Atlanta in that scenario.  And I'll be clear - if Poles did that, I would have zero issue with those moves, even if I don't think Field(s) is the guy, I think the Bears would continue to be in such a strong position.

He has been coming on the score the last few months and clearly thinks Fields has more in him.  I just don’t think you can trust a maybe at this point.  They just doubled down on their shitty mediocre staff though, so I guess the next kick in the balls should be coming

To have a generational predicted QB and a generational predicted WR on the board with the #1 pick, and to choose neither seems like borderline negligence, even with all of the picks.  Not to mention Fields is about to get really expensive, really quickly, and building around a guy who still hasn't been healthy or broken out seems rife with a lot of downside.

It’s too much of a “close your eyes and wish really hard” at this point, and you shouldn’t be doing that with two years in a row having the best pick in the draft

Is New England likely to take a QB at #3? Because I could definitely see Arizona thinking about moving the #4 pick for the #9 and an extra pick.

Considering their current qb situation I can’t see any reason they would not draft one.  I don’t think Bailey Zappe is the guy and Mac Jones has proven he is better at nut punching than he is at being a QB

arizona supposedly wants Marv really bad
