  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 1, 2017 -> 12:10 PM) Not sure where you got the Wentz stat, but Wentz threw 612 passes (over 4 seasons). Trubisky threw 572 (over 3 seasons). http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/player...on-wentz-1.html http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/player...trubisky-1.html 40 passes isnt really a big deal, but the knock about Trubisky is that he only started 1 season so that there was not a lot of game tape and you couldnt really see how teams would have adjusted the next year. The ACC seemed to also have higher pass stats than other leagues last year, 8 Qbs had over 60% completion, 5 over 3500 yards. http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/confer...16-leaders.html No one can really predict how any of it translates, but in all my years of following NFL draft, I feel like the Bears draft is at the top end of getting universally knocked. Now again, doesnt mean anything, but its just a combination of a lot of things that make me worry about where the Bears are going, because (in my opinion) Trubisky is likely going to have a different coach/front office within the next 3 years. Y2Jimmy leading me astray. But I'm not really gonna quibbleover what equates to one more game of throwing Wentz was injured a lot in college, that was a big concern
  2. It all depends on who/what you believe. Rapaport was just on the Score and said there was absolutely another team pushing the 49ers for their pick, King says the Bears got played. According to the value chart, the Bears didnt overpay, and it was on par with what the Eagles gave up for Wentz(who threw 9 more college passes than Trubisky), but some people think the value chart is more of a guide and not really a bible. Everyone has said it, Trubisky is Pace's horse, we just have to see if he was worth it.
  3. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 1, 2017 -> 07:13 AM) They need the wife-beater back. To be honest they need Strop and Rondon to be as good as they were before Chapman showed up. Neither of those guys have been the same since august last year Rondon seems better but Strop still hasn't gotten on track
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 04:24 PM) You just railed on and on and again didn't respond to the discussion at hand: the correspondent dinner. So yes, AGAIN you did not discuss the thing you were called on. You are good at this and good at turning it around and nailing me hard to the wall. But I asked you specific stuff about the correspondent dinner and you turned it on me. I realize I am those things you accuse me of sometimes, but still. You are the master of winning arguments. You did not discuss what I called you on at all. ... Again, Trump would have had to have rocks for brains to go to that dinner at this point in time. What exactly would you like me to discuss? do you think Trump is the first president since Reagan (or Nixon)who didn't like certain members of the press of organizations? Do you think they all had great relationships with reporters that covered them? How about you look at the fact that he not only skipped out on the dinner(and supposedly ordered the rest of his staff to do the same), but he held a rally and bragged about how he wasn't attending. This guy was too thin skinned to attend but at the same time could insult all of them because he didn't attend. But hey, he is da man. Tell me all about your favorite p**** grabber
  5. Oh noes they got an F from Rotoworld we need to cancel the season
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) 100 days into his presidency? As much as he's hated by the press and vice versa? You don't agree it would have been horrid at this juncture? I've watched Obama at those last two dinners and he's funnier than most stand up comics. Precious priceless stuff. But the press loved him and he tolerated or liked them. What could possibly have been good about Trump attending that dinner at this juncture? I can't even imagine the press laughing at his jokes because at least 100 days in, there is real hatred between the 2 groups. I notice you won't discuss things you are called on. Is this your mojo or simply a trend? I at least explain my positions in here. Where I get in trouble is when people say I repeat my positions ad nauseum. Can you even suggest why it would have been a good idea for Trump to attend that dinner? How it could possibly have been anything but a disaster for him? He's outnumbered with hundreds of haters to one Trump. He'd have to have rocks in his head to attend such a gathering this year. You noticed I never discuss things I am called on? Are you serious? You are like talking to a brick wall that is tuned into Rush Limbaugh. When we all discuss anything Trump has done or said your canned response is "well if he did all these bad things he should be impeached." Gtfoh. You don't explain positions. Rush Limbaugh and Fox and Friends fill your head with ideas and you say "hey maybe Trump is da Man now,eh?" With zero context. Trump is enriching himself and his friends, he sold his f***ing soul and this nations soul to Russia. s*** will eventually hit the fan and when it does, you will still be sitting there saying "well, Rush said this...." What jokes does Trump make? All he does is insult people he considers enemies, and he literally called the press The Enemy. The man has done nothing but lie repeatedly and the media reports it and they are called fake news! That's so f***ed up and you are completely oblivious
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 01:24 PM) His relationship with the press is so bad it wouldn't have been right IMO to attend this year's correspondents dinner even though presidents traditionally attend. I guess they could have pulled it off if say, they allowed Hannity to walk Trump to the podium and mock interview him or something. Trump really would have needed the one media ally to make the dinner anything but inappropriate. Cause really, the disdain for Trump is so extreme I don't really think any jokes he made would have been anything but cringeworthy. I don't know who else speaks at that dinner, but it would have been tough to not really offend Trump rather than joke with him. Do you agree this wasn't the year for Trump at that dinner? I mean we haven't had this type of hate between president and media in a while. If the second Bush handled the correspondence dinners well, I guess my position is off base here. He was pretty much despised/mocked by the media on a regular basis. Trump is a coward who can dish it and cannot take it. The end
  8. At his (unneeded) rally, Drunpf made fun of the fact that the president was absent from the correspondents dinner that he was too thin skinned to attend. Must still need aloe on the burns that Obama left last time he was there
  9. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 28, 2017 -> 07:56 PM) Posted during game 3... Apparently not Watch, that will be Gars excuse also
  10. It is what it is, but it does suck that if they drafted him at 3, the narrative would be soooooo different today
  11. I cant believe he just called you "Mr." How unprofessional
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 28, 2017 -> 09:51 AM) Ya I've heard one of the biggest pluses with Trubisky was his accuracy so not sure why Gruden thinks that. Gruden was like "he has problems with deep ball accuracy" and showed one clip where he threw a wide receiver out of bounds, and then he said "all this proves is the bears are finally sick of cutler" Dude, Cutler isn't even a bear and they released him. They said they are sick of him already
  13. I miss my old life This is way more work than i thought I might bomb North Korea. all in one interview
  14. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 28, 2017 -> 08:38 AM) Yeah...it's time for him to go. Guy would probably clear waivers anyway. Give Davidson at bats at 1B, DH Abreu, call up...I'm not sure. Don't want Delmonico up since there isn't room for every day at bats yet. Maybe another reliever? Its just a banner, man. not a statement
  15. QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Apr 28, 2017 -> 08:34 AM) Ah you're right. Never saw that. Bummer. I don't think Fox wants any part of being a real person on camera 24/7 while he is working

  17. I'm not mad at the pick, just the price. I know Pace got played on picks but it seemed like today there was a lot of overpays. Not excusing it, but he wasn't the only one And I agree with Rowand, this took some balls and Pace hitched his wagon to Trubisky who loves kissing women chest parts
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2017 -> 11:19 PM) The Chiefs' pick of Mahomes was even ballsier, because they haven't drafted a QB in the first round since Todd Blackledge back in the early 80's. He's either the next Brett Favre or a bust. Lol
  19. Edit: he just told me his team has been there for three months
  20. My brother, who finished his service last year, would be on his way to Afghanistan if he was still enlisted.
