  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 10:34 AM) Didn't the same thing get said about Tom Coughlin prior to NY? And maybe Belichick pre-New England? Yes to Coughlin, Belichick was just Cleveland-ed.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 10:19 AM) This is why people think a college job is a really good fit (players have a shelf life). I just think it kills him that his brother has more superbowls and he'll try and find another job. But the problem is also with the people that dont go away, apparently things were rather strained with the AD at Stanford when he took off as well. He grinds on people. I would be willing to let him get his shot with the bears despite his issues with dealing with people. Anything is better than the s*** show we have going on right now
  3. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 10:13 AM) Why exactly is Jim Harbaugh allegedly being fired/allowed to leave the 49ers? What is the purported nature of his rift with upper management, and how can it be so bad that they would want him gone after just one down year? The 49ers are not dumb. Should their reasons signal red flags to other NFL teams? Supposedly Harbaughs attitude/ego has a shelf life with organizations. Finally when it breaks, its time to move on. But he will get a lot out of the situation he is in
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 09:58 AM) What I don't get is how he ever expected to get away with it. There are so many cameras. These games are reviewed, guys get fined for things we never see on the broadcast. Yet here he is right in the center of things. I'm guessing he probably isn't very good at solving equations. He has been busted doing dirty stuff for his entire career. Some guys simply dont care. How many times has Brandon Merriweather been fined for headhunting, yet he still does it? And that guy knocks himself out half of the time.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 09:52 AM) For him to say he didn't do that on purpose............C'mon man. IMO, there is no reason for him to be allowed to play next week. That was blatant. They should penalize him like that knocked Ferguson out for the season. That appears to be the intent. I understand for his own sake he has to say that he didnt do it on purpose but damn, just go with "No comment". That was really terrible, im really glad that Ego didnt get his ankle broken or tear his achilles
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 09:50 AM) Supposedly, we're going to find out today according to MLB Network. The Guardians of Peace have allowed the email through!
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 09:33 AM) They do this weird Cover 4 pattern matching hybrid with a secondary that has no coverage ability in the safety position. Its weird. They also love to match up their linebackers in coverage(Gronk says HELLO!), and most of the linebackers have no ability or instincts in coverage. So, yea, its fun to watch
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 08:44 AM) The secondary is incredibly undisciplined. I see them trying several concepts and none of them seem to work because they dont train a certain way. It's like watching a bottom of the barrel college defense at times. The defense is vanilla to the point it is completely predictable. A few games ago the announcers were surprised to see stunts on the line because the previous game they had not seen any of them. Pretty much every announcer has displayed surprise that the Bears play the CBs so far off the line and allow the 10-15 yard medium plays so consistently. It is simply a terrible defense, and the college comparison is not bad at all
  9. QUOTE (Boogua @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 08:52 AM) How do you know they would've had "a lot" more points? McCown had a lot of success in between the 20s, but had some issues in the red zone. Yesterday the Bears were stopped at the goal line also. We have no idea how many points they should or would have scored. If not for the muffed punt and the roughing the kicker they could have gotten shut out. The Lions also turned the ball over twice in the red zone. You can argue what ifs all day long, but they definitely work both ways yesterday

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 08:49 AM) You must have a secret crush on Megan Fox back from the original Transformers movie...that would seem to be the only compelling reason to watch. um, ok QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 08:52 AM) I watched the Turtles movie this weekend because I felt like I had to despite the awful reviews. I actually thought there were some legit funny scenes but overall it was pretty awful. yea, i wont argue. It had a lot of bad. The fight between Splinter and Shredder was pretty cool though, i actually appreciated that part.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 22, 2014 -> 08:27 AM) Absolutely, but more importantly to me the coaching staff has proven this season they are clueless, especially on defense. If we got yesterday's performance out of the D all year we wouldnt be in the shape we are right now. You mean its good to not start your cornerbacks 10 yards back from the line and actually allow them to press a receiver???? I dont understand this confusing world you live in, Rock

Loved everything about Guardians of the Galaxy. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was weird, it had actual moments where it was watchable and had some good nods to the 90s movie and show. And then it had moments where I should have turned it off
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 21, 2014 -> 06:14 PM) No one saw greatness out of Clausen. Aikman and Buck did
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 21, 2014 -> 12:18 PM) Good luck. I hope you guys win. No matter what, an MVFC team wins, that's pretty cool
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 21, 2014 -> 12:18 PM) You never know. Maybe the email got filtered to spam. NK could have intercepted it for more leverage against "The Interview"
  16. The winning team has to know they won, doesnt the window to sign a player start when the bid is accepted?

  19. Seems unnecessary for the Cubs
  20. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Dec 20, 2014 -> 02:15 PM) For $5 million, I hope the Sox got him. Worst case scenario is that he becomes a Tsuyoshi Nishioka type of player, the best case scenario is that he becomes like Iguchi. It's worth a shot. I hope best case is better than Iguchi. Because that's kind of a low bar
  21. 5M is such a relatively small commitment, I hope it was the Sox
  22. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 20, 2014 -> 12:06 PM) How did Jimmy get so good with his offense in an offseason? Must be steroids
  23. Really nice road win. Niko and Butler were just beasts
