  1. I always hope when you pass on someone like Winston in the draft that you dont end up being a footnote on that players history, like Randy Moss.
  2. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 11:56 AM) Yea when you pointed out that area Pinstripes intrigued me, will definitely think about that. AMC 30 is about 5 minutes away from there too, if you want to pull out all the stops
  3. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 11:44 AM) I've been to another one of their locations, it was really good I would definitely go back. I'm trying to think of something to do besides just dinner though, backup plan will be bowling I think. Wish it stayed at 50 degree weather, then I have more ideas And I'm lame and don't ice skate, was never great at it and with a replacement ACL already I kinda freak out about that stuff. Then take her to Pinstripes. Bowling, Bocce Ball, Bar, Food http://pinstripes.com/
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 11:41 AM) It was actually Vick. Sd traded down from 1 and turned out a draft of Tomlinson and Brees Thats right. I knew they had two bigtime picks trading down, and Brees was an almost-first rounder
  5. I want to go, i just never really made an effort. I am sure i will take my kids eventually, i have heard it is a fun time
  6. QUOTE (scs787 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 11:20 AM) Bears GM/Head coach search is being aided by a group that features Accorsi, Bill Polian, Charlie Casserly, Ron Wolf, Tony Dungy, John Madden, Dennis Green, and Carl Peterson. With that wealth of football knowledge I can't see Ted and company going against the reccomendations of those guys. I am now of the belief that the bears will hire the right guy at both spots. Hopefully while working with Polian they can convince him to stay in the organization. I dont think that entire group is aiding the bears. I think it is just accorsi, because Polian is negotiating returning to Buffalo, Wolf and Casserly are assisting the Jets. Doesnt make a lot of sense to have all of these guys doing multiple GM searches for multiple teams
  7. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 10:35 AM) I caught up with a friend that I hadn't seen in 3 or 4 years, we never dated or anything but we used to be real flirty and that kind of got reignited lately out of happenstance. Problem is, I live in the city and she lives way out in the NW burbs, so I'm trying to think of some casual date ideas that we could meet halfway at, just so that I can see if this is something we could explore further. And since I haven't lived in the burbs in awhile (and not really from that area too long) I'm not really sure what's out there, anybody have ideas for that sort of thing (area would be like Palatine/Arlington Heights/Schaumburg). There are so many places around Woodfield Mall you can take her. Also, the South Barrington Arboretum on Rt 59 and 90 has a bunch of restaurants like Coopers Hawk and Pinstripes, and Lucky Monk is up the road.
  8. I like 10 minutes from Medieval Times, and I have never been there lol
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 10:54 AM) Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 3h3 hours ago During appeal, Ndamukong Suh said his feet were numb from cold and he couldn't tell difference between Aaron Rodgers' feet and the ground. Hmm. I wonder why they didnt ask him "why didnt you react when Rodgers was screaming for you to get off of his leg and slapped you on the leg?"
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 10:47 AM) 2nd pick of the 2nd round, my memory was off by like 3 picks, I thought he went 29. Dah well. Wasnt brees a product of the Eli Manning trade? just curious, i know it all happened around the same time
  11. according to the Twitters, Bears showing GM interest in Eric DeCosta, Marc Ross(will interview), Chris Ballard(will interview), Head coach interview requests are out for Adam Gase(Denver OC), Dan Quinn (Seattle DC), Todd Bowles(Arizona DC), Gary Kubiak
  12. i think the Bears will try and move Cutler, its going to be tricky though. As long as they dont have to pay for him to move, it should be explored

  14. Anyone still having issues with PSN? a few gaming sites yesterday were still reporting outages
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) Derrick for the love of Christ stop shooting. SHOOTERS KEEP SHOOTIN
  16. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 04:46 PM) Why the f*ck is Leury Garcia being mentioned as being anywhere near the 2B job You should read up on Phil Rogers
  17. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 02:09 PM) Turned down $14.1M that he'll never see again, and the delay in him getting started last year likely lead to his value-killing dropoff. Yep, destroyed his career. I think his consecutive years batting under .200 killed his career more. While he probably wishes he took the 14 million, i think the 10 million he got was just fine. If i am him im not firing Boras for getting me 20 million over the last two years, I am probably hugging him
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 12:48 PM) ND is playing in a bowl game in the closest possible location to me, only 180 miles away, and I didn't go. Not only that, I didn't even take the afternoon off from work to watch it on TV. How sad is that? Brian Kelly will never forgive you
  19. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 02:04 PM) Wait, Drew hasn't fired Boras yet for destroying his career? Why would he fire him, Boras got him 10 million dollars last season and he sat out for half of the season Hell, look his career. Boras keeps getting him paid and he really has been mediocre save for a few seasons.
  20. QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 11:39 AM) Maybe it would be better to say he might WANT Tucker. The last full season Del Rio was HC was the first that he allowed Tucker to call the plays on defense. They were ranked 5th by DVOA, and 6th in yardage, 7th by PFF. It was arguably the best defense he ever had as a head coach Year before that it was 28th, and 2009 was 24th ranked. last year Bears was 30th, this year it was 31st, Cleveland was a dumpster fire, 30th So which is the abberation Why is this even a discussion really. Tucker was terrible this season, he had his chance to try different things all season and he did nothing but put up the worst season in Bears history. The team was completely unprepared and terribly coached
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 11:27 AM) Del Rio would probably keep Mel Tucker, his most recent defensive coordinator. i kind of doubt that he is gonna keep the D coordinator that presided over the terrible defense that in part got Del Rio fired
  22. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 11:10 AM) I would like a run at him, yes he turned down before, but he is Ozzie Newsome's successor and I do not believe he will leave. He may be off of our list because he has already told Acorsi. a few call in guests over the past week have said that he is waiting for Newsome to retire, the agreement is already in place that he will take the job when Ozzie leaves.
  23. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 10:25 AM) I think Emery did that way too much when he was GM. Asking other people's opinion. Having Marinelli rank the coaching candidates. Asking Cutler his opinion on who they should hire, hell they even had Jay interview with some of them. He was the GM, he should of told them what's up. He did, he hired Trestman
  24. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 10:22 AM) and no reason at all to go with the completely atypical "have our current DC interview you!" route if you're just going to ignore him anyway. Emery was going to hire Trestman no matter what, i dont know why he made such a sham out of the interview process but good lord did he ever.
