Sony Online Entertainment has been sold off, and is now Daybreak Game Company (and apparently excited to start working on Xbox games)

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 10:54 AM) I believe McCarthy has finally apologized / realized that the connection does not exist. I might be mistaken on this, however, you are right that if you were going to point the movement of the cause to any one person, it would be Jenny McCarthy. I think the only thing she ever retracted was that her son doesnt have Autism anymore. She tried to walk back her anti vax sentiments, but turned it into "well I just want people to be educated on what chemicals they are putting into their kids" as if they are being injected with autism causing ebola on purpose

edited two posts so Brian isnt spoiled
  4. I just heard a band on Pandora called The Big Sleep "Pinkies", and I really like it. Has kind of a Black Keys feel to it
  5. Dwayne Wise had arguably the greatest catch in White Sox history 6 years ago, I think he should bat leadoff and play centerfield forevs. Thanks, Me.
  6. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 06:53 AM) My girlfriend is from a Cubs family, though she's never been huge into baseball herself. Her brother has suggested a friendly wager for 2015--his idea was that if the Cubs win the City Series, I have to go to a game at Wrigley in Cubs regalia with him, and vice versa. I counterproposed something that I think would be a little more fun...rather than a six game series (or even something like overall win-loss record), why not some more off-the-wall stuff? I thought maybe we could pick five "races" and whoever wins three of them wins. Of course, this wouldn't get resolved and the game in question would not occur until 2016, unless we set a cutoff date of August 1st or September 1st or something. Some things I thought of... Abreu homers vs Rizzo homers Sale/Samardzija strikeouts vs Lester/Arrieta strikeouts Adam Eaton home runs vs Cubs pitchers home runs Any other ideas? These should all be toss-ups, obviously. Maybe something like hitter with highest batting average, Robertson saves vs Rondon saves, most 20 HR hitters, etc... I'm pretty saber-inclined but he's not. You could contain these bets within the crosstown series instead of end of year results
  7. So Manelly said that he feels he is best suited to talk Football, and not all sports, and that is why he is stepping down

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 08:56 AM) Man, GTA 5 just owns my life when I'm not assembling baby things, shopping for baby things, prepping the house for baby things. So it owns your life for approximately 5 minutes a day

3 times with the snowblower yesterday, probably going to have to do it once more when I get home from work today
  10. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 08:29 AM) The OC throwing the WR under the bus multiple times was pretty awful. That and his nonsensical explanations about wanting to take time off the clock and play for 3rd/4th down, so he called a quick inside pass on the goal line. Gotta wonder if Bevell is on top of the Head Coach Candidate list next season. Both the bad playcall and then blaming the WR immediately afterwards really does not paint him in a good light

QUOTE (farmteam @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 07:41 AM) And Fiona...jeez. Sean was right, she just brings chaos with her. My two favorite scenes were when the guy at
  12. QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 06:36 AM) most historic game ever, surpasses the '05 postseason, not even close. name any other single game that had more impact. Johhny Danks will always be remembered for his performance that nite. I think he still has it in him and he will shine in 2015. thanks, douglas Solid argument. You win the day.

I f***ing love Frank Gallagher. His money trail story was awesome
  14. QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Feb 1, 2015 -> 07:59 AM) what did Samara ever do? Are we forgetting that Danks pitched a shutout in arguably the most important game in White Sox history? thanks, douglas Compare Danks last two seasons to Samara's last two seasons instead of recalling one game 7 years ago. Thanks, kyyle23
  15. Manelly has been pretty solid talking about other sports. He isn't perfect but he has been getting better every day.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 05:53 PM) Glad Manelly is gone. Hope it's Kaplan and Haugh. Don't respect Kaplans opinion but god it'd be nice to have someone other than B and B who aren't all Bears talk. Total opposite, can't stand kap and haugh, and Manelly and Speigel were developing good chemistry
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 12:31 PM) i can't believe he held on to that for five years. I love it. It isnt often that athletes can get back at reporters like that
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 10:47 AM) I just saw it now so maybe. Having a Stanford guy say it holds more weight somehow. I heard their quotes from a few days ago, they went really hard at the NCAA. They said that a regular student should try and cover their schedule just for a day and see what it is like
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 10:10 AM) Michael Bennett and Richard Sherman just destroyed the NCAA in the media session. again? Didnt they do that a few days ago?
  20. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 08:58 AM) you are right about that, but a good coach is hard to come by. no one player is greater than the coach, unless that player is MJ, Kobe, James... Sorry, but this is wrong. Players are always greater. Coaches get fired, not players
  21. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 08:33 AM) keep Thibs' and use the other for trade bait. and yes even if its Rose. LMAO this is ridiculous. Its a players league
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 29, 2015 -> 11:27 PM) Fun offseason for fans. But all we need to remember is Adam Dunn. The Sox acquisitions could all suck and the Sox could quickly resemble the Phillies or some team like that. I hope for the best and applaud Hahn. I just hope all these new guys are motivated and talented. well arent you a beacon of shining light
  23. I blame Gar Foreman. By all accounts the Bulls are ready to hand it off to Fred Hoiberg because him and Gar are boys. The last time the Bulls replaced their head coach with a Iowa State head coach, it was not pleasant. Sorry heads
  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 29, 2015 -> 09:46 PM) So Dunleavy died right? Yes of severe gangrene due to sprained ankle
