  1. Im looking at 90-72 right now. I like to keep my predictions optimistic so i can b**** and moan in November
  2. QUOTE (Tex @ Mar 30, 2015 -> 11:30 AM) That was my final question. Can you be a protester by just being yourself? I don't want to bog down into specific groups but sit ins were basically blacks protesting by wanting to be served. They weren't really protesting other than being in a store where they were not welcomed. Now we all know I'd rather be on the side of inclusion. But if you are a black business owner and the local racist idiots decide they want to just walk around your store, shouldn't you be allowed to have them removed? Even if they aren't doing anything? If you are a conservative store owner with a conservative customer base and your regulars leave without buying when that ABC person is in the store, isn't that the same? Again, I am talking hypothetical, I believe we know this law is much more sinister in focus. I dont know, your examples are involving situations where service isnt being refused, but access is. There is a lot to your example here that would complicate the situation. Is the racist walking around the store saying racist things and making people uncomfortable and causing them to leave? I would say that the Religious freedom law wouldnt even matter because this person is damaging your business by causing people to leave. Is he just a known racist who sat down quietly to have coffee and didnt bother anyone, but the store owner knows him and says "Get out, i know what you say when you are somewhere else". And yes, the law is much more sinister than what they are trying to spin it as.
  3. QUOTE (Tex @ Mar 30, 2015 -> 11:18 AM) As much as I really dislike this law, I do wonder if stores should have the right to refuse service. On a theoretical point, imagine a group of protesters inside a steak restaurant chanting against eating meat. Obviously we all agree the owner should have the right to remove the group because they are harming that business. Now, what if you have a really messed up business (IMHO it is messed up) that caters to a very anti-XX crowd. A large group of XX show up just to drive away the core customers. They will be gone next month along with the regulars. Can you protest by just being you? You arent refusing service to protesters that are disrupting business. They dont want to eat what you are providing, and they dont want others to eat it. They are trying to harm your business. I dont think this analogy is applicable at all.
  4. i think we can all agree that Cena winning for America was the best possible outcome for Rusevs career. And the added dimension of problems between Lana and Rusev was a nice extra kick in the balls.
  5. Some sad news, Craig Sagers leukemia has returned
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 30, 2015 -> 01:01 AM) That's what we said about Beckham, if I remember correctly. Oh yea sure. Viciedos defense makes his putrid offense bearable. Totally the same thing.
  7. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 29, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) the JB comment sounded like a little teasing on both parts. Oh? When someone treats you like s*** and you finally work up the guts to say f*** you to his face, that is teasing?
  8. Yea caulfield, seriously stop bringing up Viciedo. He is gone, he isn't coming back any time soon. Give it up
  9. QUOTE (TRU @ Mar 29, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) The open air stadium kinda deflated seths entrance, but I'm glad he took it The size of the stage and length to the ring also kind of deflated it. Took him forever to get there
  10. It has to be a retro territory-type abbreviation/name
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 29, 2015 -> 07:35 AM) Can Bray lose two years in a row? He's already lost steam after the Cena debacle. Am I alone in thinking new Squared Circle Thread every year on WrestleMania day? Just an idea. I'll go back to my corner. Sadly I don't think WWE feels as strongly about Brays career at this point as they do a guy who hasn't been in a ring for an entire calendar year. If others want a reboot thread I can close this one
  12. I will be pretty surprised if Taker loses twice in a row at Mania.
  13. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 28, 2015 -> 11:30 AM) with the ~~wink ~~wink deal that i am sure was in place, are the US going to let Italy extradite he? Her conviction was overturned, there is no reason to extradite
  14. It's arizona. Balls tend to fly far in Arizona
  15. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 02:39 PM) Better to have a depressed pilot/aircrew that is dealing with or has successfully dealt with the issue than a pilot/aircrew keeping it to themselves because it could mean their career otherwise. yea, the guy was actively hiding it from his employer. Many people have depression and deal with it therapeutically, pharmaceutically, what have you. This guy obviously felt that he needed to hide it because it possibly would ground him due to its severity or company policy.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 01:58 PM) 120 Sports ‏@120Sports 28m28 minutes ago Justin Verlander left today's Spring Training game in the 3rd inning with an undisclosed injury. Strained groin, girlfriend.
  17. One of the rooftop owners was just indicted for mail fraud for under-reporting revenues and attendance to the tune of 600K. whoops
  18. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 11:52 AM) Totally agree. Should be the Shark Tank instead of Shark Cage. Now I am really pissed and will boycot this season. But this would mean Shark would have to be in the stands, confined with the fans. QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 11:55 AM) A shark cage is for the divers (fans) to safely observe the Shark hunting (pitching) in its natural habitat. So the name is actually pretty fitting. /coolstorybro exactly
  19. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 27, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) This isn't the whole story though. Houston took him at #1 because he agreed to a deal at $6.5 million. They drafted him. He got there, they found the small UCL and then offered $5 million. I wouldn't have played for that team either. He bet on himself and he lost. He will get drafted again though, probably in the top 10. i get that they looked extremely bad in the process of what happened, all I am replying to is LDF saying that Houston needs to come out and say something. There really isnt anything they need to say anymore, they already took their PR hit. "We wish Brady the best in his future endeavors" 6 months ago is really all that needed to be said. Saying anything right now just looks like rubbing it in and makes them look worse.
  20. Kiper lied to me about Cedric Benson. I will not let him do it again
  21. Kiper thinks a lot of things. Many of them are way off base
  22. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 26, 2015 -> 07:23 PM) Hou took a huge hit at the time, i guess if they want to not take the high road, they can say in 1 statement, " we had some concerns" or "we told you so" I don't see how the hit they took last year applies now, since the concerns they had with his elbow proved out and he is now having TJS. They don't have to say anything, there is no road that needs to be taken high or low. They saw something, it worried them, they lowballed the player, he refused the deal and bet on himself. Unfortunately he lost his bet and Houston looks better for letting him walk away.
  23. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 26, 2015 -> 07:05 PM) yeah, someone can look it that way, but i bet Hou will still try spin doctoring it. Houston doesn't have to spin anything. They were worried about his elbow and they were proven correct to worry. They have had nothing to do with him
