  1. I like the top one best!!!
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) Pretty sure he's DH'ing since he rested Wednesday. But is his strained hip flexor gunna hold him out of tonights lineup?
  3. With Jake westbrock pitching i think the sox well be able to score atleast 5 runs tonight. Are bullpen is rested so we dont have to deal with any of the fiascos that went on last game. El duque will hopefully go 6-7 innings then we can turn it over to the bullpen i think the sox win 5-3 tonight.
  4. QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) If Frank playing tonight? I dont think the lineups have been posted anywhere
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) Randy Johnson didn't want to play on the east coast either.. :rolly Randy Johnson said that the only team he would play for was the yankees
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) Imagine Cliffy after turning the DP. EAT s***!!!! LMFAO
  7. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) If Konerko had to have a day off, why wasn't Ozuna playing first? At least he's played the infield his whole career. Because ozzie loves timo
  8. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Politte volunteered to play short?!?! I f***ing love this guy! It woulda been f***in awesome if pollite played shortstop
  9. QUOTE(southsider17 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) He seems to be a good clutch hitter ..... and that's it. He's very slow and his fielding sucks. yah hes clutch alright, clutch for the other team
  10. Bmac is not a superstar and noone knows if he will so why not trade him for a superstar.
  11. october 3, 2005 poster= qwerty
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) so why is it that you are so focused on the cubs? nice sig and avatar
  13. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) btw, in my fantasy "nobody's injured" world they are probably a top 7 team, at the very lowest. and what are the whitesox?
  14. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) He pitched well in that game and got shelled by the Rangers. The Cubs are one of the top 13 teams in the bigs, in my opinion. But he didnt get "shelled" by the cubs and you said a good team would shell him and you claim the cubs are good im confused.
  15. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) So your saying the Cubs aren't good? LMFAO
  16. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) McCarthy is not quite ready for the bigs. He needs a little more tick at the minors and a little more movement and command of the strike zone. He comes up again and faces a good team, he'll likely get shelled again. I agree thats why Bmac is in the minors right now but at least we have a back up starter!
  17. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:47 PM) The difference is that they have 2 injury prone pitchers and those are their top 2 starters(Or atleast what they say). We have 1, and he is our 5 starter. And he was signed by planning on missing 5-10 of his starts, as noted by the public comments of our GM. Plus we have Bmac to pitch when el duque cant. So right now we have 6 healthy starters.
  18. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:41 PM) Hell, the Yanks just got swept by the goddamn Royals on the road. LMFAO
  19. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Fair enough, but since 1987 no one has started more than 37, and since the mid 90s no one has started more than 36. With a 5 man rotation, the most you'll get is 34, maybe 35. I'd be willing to bet El Duque has missed more games than Wood the past 5 years... or at least it's close. I see El duque and wood there not the 2005 cubs & whitesox
  20. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) We are comparing the Cubs and the White Sox. I think it's fair game to compare one old, injured starter to one young, injured starter. When your young your body is top physical condition if wood is this injury prone now just imagine how he will be when he 30 let alone 35-40 if he makes it there
  21. El duques old and Wood is young
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/GS_leagues.shtml I dont know about you hideaway lights but the numbers i see on that page are anywhere from 35-40
  23. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) Two years, Wood missed about 9 starts each. Name me a pitcher who has started 36 games (not including playoffs, of course) in the past 20 years. Mark buehrle has started 35 times in 2003 and 2004
  24. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) 35-39?????? LMMFAO. 162 divided by 5 equals? 32.4 counting 4 man rotations and other odds and ends it is possible to make anywhere from 35-39 also that means wood misses 10 starts a year. Meaning he misses 1/3 of his starts thats alot.
  25. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) I think everyone reading this thread takes this the same way I do. Wood has started 22+ games every year from 2000-2004, and 28+ games from 2001-2003. How the f*** is that constantly injured? because some pitchers make 35-39 starts and other win 22 games
