  1. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:14 PM) There are such things as periods, you know. They look like this "." Why is it so hard to accept that Wood COULD be healthy for a year? Two years ago he started 31+ games. Same as 3 years ago. Wood has really only been injured 3 seasons. Only lol
  2. The cubs have no real lead off man the fundamentals suck and their pitching staff is all injury prone and dont say anything how if tyhe pitching was healthy the cubs would be better because i could have told you april 4th that wood and prior would be injured at this point!
  3. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) I was asked to let y'all know when they beat a good team like the Padres. Just lettin' you know. For the record, I hate the f***ing Cubs. Then why did you start a thread saying the cubs are better
  4. What is he supposed to say, "I hate Oakland trade me to Chicago".
  5. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) This is not true. Nomar got hurt in St. Louis. My buddy took pictures of him stretching before the game. Shoulda stretched better that game lol
  6. QUOTE(trexer @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) It makes no sense to add so much payroll and give up our insurance policy pitcher for a guy whose career BA is only 50 points or so higher than Crede. If you really want an upgrade at 3B, you could get Randa ($2 Mil. Salary) for only Crede and one of our lesser relievers, such as Vizcaino. I dont think we should give up Bmac we should give up Crede and a couple other minor leagurs.
  7. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 01:00 AM) I wouldn't say that yet. He has to go on a tear for at least a week before we can think that. Crede hit two homers in two days, but I'm sure we all know he's not coming out of any slump. crede is to streaky he will go on like 2 week tears then he go through 2 months where he'll play like crap. id rather have chavez proven talent.
  8. i dont know if someone said this earlier but eric chavez hit a grandslam earlier. (maybe he is coming out of his slump)
  9. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) At this point, no. Earlier in the season? Yes He's streaky and everyone knows how his monthy averages fluctuate. I do recall several games (most recently against Washburn in Anaheim) where he provided crucial hits for this club. Every run is important with this offense. I just don't envision Williams trading Konerko. Which contending team is so desperate for offense they would be willing to to trade a decent reliever or another solid, major league contributer for Konerko? The only team i see needing a good hitting firstbaseman that contending are the braves
  10. Can anyone here belive the royals swept the yankees! I know the yankees arnt that good this year but i mean it the royals!
  11. QUOTE(bulokis @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:39 PM) TIMO all the way, all the way down to AAA.
  12. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) Not necessarily, he's on my team and he's been slumping horribly the last few weeks. With that said he's still in my starting lineup lol. To make this post have some Chavez related relevance...I don't want him. Too risky. A lot of salary, a lot of cost in getting him, and he's hitting like s*** this year. With that said he'd likely do better in a better lineup. if we got rid of konerko at the end of the year we would have enough money (there not alot of posting going on tonight is there)
  13. QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) Did they win and, yes Jenny Finch is smokin. yah they won
  14. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) But that only lasts 7 days, isn't the shortest stint on the DL 15 days? yah but they could do some retroactive thingy
  15. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) Don't see it being Timo. It shouldn't be Ozuna, but it probably will be. Then again, Ozzie may find no need for Gload with Timo playing 1st. i never want to see timo at first again
  16. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) Someone in my league dropped Clint Barmes. is that person and idiot
  17. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) Chicago Bandits, Baby! lol jennie finch did preety good today she preety hot too
  18. QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) Twins get lil closer to us and I've got alot less to read tommorrow's papers. and there is no game to watch
  19. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 10:47 PM) Timo has more strikeouts than hits right now. He has the most ABs out of all the non-starters(61). He has a .246 OBP. Willie has a .373 OBP and Pablo has a .349 OBP. So let me get this straight. Timo doesnt get on base, he doesnt hit, he Ks more than he does hit, he doesnt walk. What does he do again. And if you look at there roster they have way to many outfielders timo would be the best choice to sent down.
  20. Im going along with what was said earlier on this thread i think that KW is got a trade in the work to open up a rosterspot it may not be the chavez trade but it would be something!
  21. QUOTE(shakes @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) Have the Sox played in SD or Colorado before? I'm looking forward to watching these games. I just hope we miss Peavy. (Just trying to distract from talking about you know who) As far as i know when the sox play the rockies it will be the first time those teams have ever played each other in a real game. I know they did in the hall of fame game a few years ago though.
  22. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Has Minnesota ever lost an extra inning game in the history of their franchise? i highely doubt it lol there the luckiest team alive even luckier then us this year
  23. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) I'd be shocked if anything happens until July 1. Same here maybe even later like hours before the deadline
  24. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) I think think coaches shouldnt even be paid over 2 million... they work for what half a year and unlike players they dont have to work out as much or have risk of injury. But they got blamed for everything that goes wrong on the team.
