QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) What kind of over exaggerations has Hawk made so far? In his 58 years in baseball he's never seen a lefthanded hitter as dominant. -

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 01:03 PM) I have seen enough and read enough to know how pastor Wright looks down his watermelon soaked nose at me and I will judge him and whoever associates themselves with him accordingly. Classy!

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Mar 31, 2008 -> 10:12 AM) It was politically positive for Obama to be associates with the Rev early in his career. He was well known in the community and helped Obama with his blackness in the community. How do you know that to be fact? You seem to be presuming. Could it be possible that he actually helped Obama find God and that's why Obama stayed with him?

Elizabeth Edwards shares the same opinion of Hillary Clinton as I do.

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Mar 29, 2008 -> 02:25 PM) Its people like Wright that are putting up huge roadblocks in repairing the relationships between blacks and whites by encouraging hate and intolerance Which makes Obama's views on race and bringing people together even more impressive for me.
-
QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Mar 29, 2008 -> 01:02 PM) Let me clarify then the impression I get. You might not be condoning the stuff that he says but you are challenging the validity of it. When I post something that I clearly say is my opinion and I have Obama supporters jump all over me for a source or to question the context of what was said its almost as if youre acting as if my opinion is on trial and you are Wrights attorney making sure I havent made my assumptions prematurely and that all my opinions are 100% valid. However, my opinion isnt on trial and to be honest its just as valid as anyone elses in the thread and just because you dont agree with it doesnt mean that its wrong. There is more evidence to prove this guy is racist than there is evidence to prove he isnt so for you to question anybody elses opinions because you dont agree with them and act as if this is a Supreme Court trial and people cant draw conclusions unless they can be proven beyond a reasonable is wrong. In reality this is a message board and when people discuss something like this and it gets heated as it always will an administrators opinions dont automatically become the right opinions and not one person in this thread has any more credibility in terms of what people use to come to them than anyone else. Like Obama said on the View yesterday...if someone were to take the 4 or 5 worst things you've said in the past 20 years and kept showing them on the news over and over again, everyone would think you were an awful person (paraphrased).

QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 10:55 AM) Because it's been media driven. There is no substance there and the media has given him a major pass. How do you define substance? BTW: I'll be shutting down in a minute as I'm headed to Texas this afternoon. Might have to continue this conversation later.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 10:45 AM) I've always considered Obama's popularity as the American Idol-ization of American Politics. Can you explain why that is? I'm honestly curious to know why.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 27, 2008 -> 03:09 PM) Do you have a clue how this stuff works? Because if you did, you would realize how bad this is. But to you, it's about "rich people" paying their fair share. I'm glad to know I'm "rich". I didn't realize what a well-oiled machine is currently in place. When do we start paving our streets with gold? -

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 27, 2008 -> 02:54 PM) Decimating the markets by doubling the cap gains tax across the board is not fine. Sen. OBAMA: No, no, no, absolutely. And that's why I think that it may be, for example, that you could structure something in which people with certain incomes were exempted from this increase and it would stay at 15. -

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 27, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) Not going to help much. You need to have the institutional money in the markets, and you need the large scale investors putting cash in. So you think large scale investors will stop investing? I somehow doubt that.
