  1. Haven't bought a frozen pizza in years. I make mine from scratch about 3 times per month. A pizza stone is a must.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 11:14 AM) Don't worry Tex, next January, any positive change in Texas from this move will be more than offset. Heh. Nicely done.
  3. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) If I lived in Mesa, I would do the same thing. On a different note, my wife and I are moving back to Chicago from Austin this weekend. Sorry Tex, Kap and all the other "Texans" that have moved down here. Here's the kicker...we are buying a house in Oak Park, selling our house here, driving with a 34 week pregnant wife, a crazy cat, trying to find a job, staying with relatives and in a hotel and trying not to bite each others heads off. Fun, eh? "I was not born in Texas, but I got here just as soon as I could!!!" And to add to that, left just as quick! I'll wave Kap as I drive through Big D. Why did you decide to move back? I actually have Austin on the short list of cities I'd like to move to.
  4. Not sure if this was posted elsewhere but I'd say this is a pretty solid effective ad...
  5. QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 10:38 AM) But if we're going to honor people for having incredible and positive impact on the game, I think it's only fair that MLB honors Babe Ruth in the same way. Baseball arguably never would have emerged from the ashes of the organized crime scandals of the early 1900s to become the "National Pastime" without him. I tend to agree with you but I also think Jackie Robinson had an impact on the nation as a whole, even for those not concerned with the game. It was a watershed moment in our history whereas Ruth's elevation of the game of baseball was just that...a baseball-related phenomena.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 11:34 AM) PA would be nice because that finishes it even earlier. The polls are getting tighter each time a new one comes out.
  7. I love that the Sox are an under-the-radar team going into this season. We have a chance to make some noise with this roster.
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 09:59 AM) The CTA website's route tool sucks. I agree. I stopped using it a long time ago. I could only imagine what things would be like if the CTA was privatized.
  9. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 10:01 AM) Tidal turbines installed off of Northern Ireland, to come online later this year and produce 1.2 megawatts/day. Cool stuff. http://www.enn.com/top_stories/article/34319 I've never heard of tidal turbines before. I'm surprised they aren't used more widely since they aren't as big of an eyesore compared to wind turbines.
  10. For those of us without a car, google maps now has a "take public transit" option when mapping directions in Chicago.
  11. Today's superdelegate watch: Obama 221 Clinton 245 The gap seems to be getting narrower as the campaign moves on.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 09:45 AM) I don't believe China should be allowed to do anything on the world stage until they treat their people like all the other countries on the world stage. ^^^^^
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2008 -> 06:14 PM) Mark Penn reportedly FINALLY stepping down from the Clinton campaign. That's a plus for her campaign if you ask me.
  14. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 6, 2008 -> 09:02 AM) What would Jesus do? Oh I dunno.....forgive?
  15. Me in Vegas for Halloween a couple years back.
  16. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 12:11 PM) Here's the thing. She says in her speech that she head the story from a policeman who heard about this woman. So, this is a 2nd or 3rd generation story. It COULD be very well possible that she is simply parroting what he said as fact. OR, it could be that she heard the actual story correctly and simply has "dramatized it". I dunno. Given her track record, probably the latter. But, I am not willing to pass judgment on this until more info is researched. Would have been smart to fact check a 2nd hand story before using it as part of your stump speech for 5 weeks.
  17. I'm sure she just misspoke. She's got sleep deprivation. Clinton Under Fire Over False Story Of Health Care Horror
  18. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 03:08 PM) Clinton Tax records are out... made over $100 million since 2000. Beat me to it.
  19. I guess this is how she is able to connect with the middle class in Pennsylvania.
  20. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 02:50 PM) Oh i forgot about that! Exact quote: "I would ask you to look at this story and substitute my name for Sen. Obama’s name and see what you would do with this story… Just ask yourself [what you would do] if some of my advisers had been having private meetings with foreign governments." That's golden. I hope the MSM keeps replaying that quote over the next few days.
  21. QUOTE(kjshoe04 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 01:36 PM) We are lucky. Lets get some runs and then take Jose out. Now. Ozzie wants to give him a chance to blow another lead or 2.
