  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 02:57 PM) f*** them I loathe that organization. And f***!! Humber gives up a HR.
  2. Twins have won 8 of 10, are about to throw a no hitter, will be 9 back after today and face their annual spring board in their next series.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 02:11 PM) Liriano tossing another no-no. Glad we miss him this week. Just our luck to see them when they're on fire.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 10:53 AM) Yep. What is wrong with Ozzie? Why must he be enamored with a player every year that is completely ineffective? How is this acceptable to KW & JR?
  5. Wade and James mocking Dirk's fever. This might have already been posted earlier.
  6. QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 08:36 PM) Taking Danks out will result in another loss. I mentioned the same thing last night if Jackson was taken out. If Guillen stays out of the way, the Sox would win more games. He did that in the world series, and that's why the sox swept houston. For someone who manages by his gut, whatever that means, he has no feel for the game - certainly not in the area of pitching. Like most head coaches and managers in this town, they're awful in-game strategists. And evidently, Cooper must be placating him or he is just as guilty as Guillen So you're saying we should completely eliminate our bullpen and throw complete games every night?
  7. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 10:49 AM) The craziest thing was Pierzynski looking over to the dugout after ball 1 to Sizemore, basically imploring Guillen to immediately pull Santos for literally anyone (at least that's how I read it) and then trotting out to the mound hoping Ozzie would follow. 99% of people watching this game could see that Santos just didn't have it tonight, but Ozzie was going to let him lose this game anyway. Hell, I put in Buehrle on one day's rest to get this last out after watching everything. ANYONE. That's the kind of creative thinking that won a world series, not passively letting someone who had NOTHING bury your team all by himself. We needed one out. he walked three and hit one, and Ozzie didn't even move towards the mound. Your closer just doesn't have it tonight. PULL HIM. In instances where he's not had it in other nights, he gives up more than 1 run. Losing this game was the most ludicrous loss I've seen in a long time. Exactly. It was obvious to absolutely everyone watching the game that Santos was done and wouldn't get anyone else out. Just another example of Guillen not having any sense of what was happening out on the field and reacting too late. He truly is a terrible in game manager.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 08:50 AM) It sounds crazy by Hakeem is my all-time favorite player. Same here. Loved watching him play.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 08:46 AM) I was waiting to see how this game was Juan Pierres fault. He wasn't to blame but once again contributed nothing at all. It's amazing how many starters in our lineup add virtually nothing on a nightly basis.
  10. This series would already be over if Butler and Heyward were healthy.
  11. I agree that this loss was a punch in the gut. Especially after seeing Cleveland and Detroit lose earlier in the evening.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 11:53 AM) THE KING The hate is not irrational, the guy is a colossal d-bag who has yet to win a thing in his life. I love you.
  13. A Mavs blowout Sunday would be quite nice.
  14. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 11:24 AM) Pretty darn well is relative though. For Juan, yes. For the average major league baseball player, his May was still bad. He can't field worth a s***, and has the worst outfield arm in baseball. Should we really be happy our $9 million starting LF had a .704 OPS in May? Juan is a horrible baseball player who deserves to be riding the pine of a Major League bench. Tank has an immensely better arm, probably can't field much worse and would be an instant offensive upgrade of close to .200 OPS, if not more. Indeed. It's so blatantly obvious that Viciedo is a huge upgrade that it boggles the mind that the front office continues to ignore the situation.
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) Its just hilarious all the hate towards Lebron, I mean its just irrational. A self proclaimed King, who's never won anything, has made an embarrassingly poor choice in his televised "decision", and shows people up on the court continually and you don't understand why people hate him? The only thing I don't understand is why you refuse to use the quote feature on this board.
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 11:12 AM) This is one of those situations in sports where you can't use stats to prove your point. Anyone watching the Finals knows that Wade is the only reason Miami hasn't lost yet. He's been the best player on the court except for maybe Dirk. Whereas Lebron stands around and "facilitates," Wade is doing everything to keep his team in the game. The 4th quarter scoring, the timely offensive rebounds and put backs, the timely blocks....that's all Wade, not Lebron. And certainly Lebron isn't LOSING games for the Heat, but he sure as hell isn't helping them close out games or win games in the 4th. How do you call yourself the best basketball player on the planet, in the self-admitted biggest game of your life, and score 2 (garbage) pts? How do you just stand around and waste possessions during crunch time? I'm so tired of people comparing Lebron to ANY of the all-time greats, let alone Michael Jordan. I find it funny that Lebron has apologists around the country that are saying he got a triple double, he plays defense, expectations are too high, blah blah. Guess what, if he wasn't such an ego-centric asshole who claimed to be the best player in the history of the game before every setting foot on an NBA court, maybe NBA fans wouldn't have that opinion of him. But that's what he gets. He wanted all the attention, well, now he's got it, and he's failing miserably at proving the hype.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) Meaning that in less time, Wade on the floor hurt Miami more than Lebron did. LOL at people who use that dumb stat. Of course it doesn't take into consideration of who else is on the floor on both teams.
  18. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 10:42 AM) These softball questions the reporters ask Ozzie are a joke. Someone has to be a MAN, step up, and call him out on this ridiculous decision to march JP out there everyday at the top of the order and call it what it is and point out how many baseball games this worthless joke of a left fielder has cost us. "There's nothing we can do about it?" Yes there is. DFA him. To me this is almost worse than the Kotsay situation of 2010, which I didn't think I'd see again. Both Ozzie and Kenny need to be fired if they cannot see how glaring of a problem this is. Thank you. Maybe I can put together a realistic looking press pass for you for tonight.
