Saunders will be soiling his pants tonight. -
What If They Gave a Terrorist Attack And Nobody Noticed?

Nice comparison of Droid Incredible vs Sprint Evo vs Nexus One. Although I think the price for the EVO is already listed on Sprint's site. And I like that the EVO has a little kickstand on the back to prop it up to watch media.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 19, 2010 -> 09:48 AM) That looks sick. I love my Sprint but its nice to see them finally deliver a premium phone. I look forward to Apple touting their new iPhone later in the year as being the first to have dual cameras. *rolls eyes*

So how does Desmond get Sawyer to show up at the concert?

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 19, 2010 -> 09:41 AM) Anyone have, or played with, the HTC Droid Incredible? I have and let me tell you, it's Incred awesome. Check out the specs of the Sprint EVO if you're in the market for a new phone. It'll be the best phone on the market when it becomes available on 06/04.

Another solid episode of Justified.

Yes I'm more of a pessimist than anything but we could feasibly be only 5 games back or so after this weekend. As the weather warms up Ramirez starts to hit and yesterday's game gives me hope that Carlos is slowly coming around.

I smell a dominating performance from Danks combined with blow out wins from the Red Sox and A's. -
Celtics/Lakers finals? There's a series I'll skip over.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 19, 2010 -> 08:17 AM) If this engine is electric, runs only 50 miles, dies out -- then switches to conventional gasoline -- this is NOT an alternative technology at all. It's a crappy stopgap, nothing more. It's another version of a hybrid...it's NOT the answer. Maybe not for your needs but I'd bet an overwhelming majority of people would benefit from this. QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 19, 2010 -> 08:17 AM) Let's stop talking about nickle and diming our way with expensive crappy cars like this one -- we want alternative means that WORKS. How about an electric car that recharges in 5 minutes and can drive 300+ miles on a single charge that has 300HP and 300FPT, able to carry loads upwards of 2500+lbs?! THAT'S a viable alternative... Again, most people don't need something like that.

South Loop has been up and coming for 15 years. I don't know if it'll ever pan out.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 18, 2010 -> 05:59 PM) He's one of my favorite posters. He sticks to his beliefs no matter how many people disagree with him. He's stubborn like Ozzie.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2010 -> 05:48 PM) In 100 years I think plenty of managers had teams that on paper could have won it all. And didn't. Hopefully I can stifle myself on posting anymore about Ozzie. I can't win. For decades when teams lose a game it's been "fire the manager" and my stance is one that is not winnable. I'll lose this battle everytime by sheer numbers that follow the "fire the manager" mantra. So I hope many of you get your wish and Ozzie is fired. It's obvious many of you have grown very tired of him. I hope you get your way and hope you enjoy Buddy Bell, because I'd bet he'll be the guy unless it's Joey Cora. In that case, I hope you enjoy Joey. The team will probably get hot after the firing and win eight of 10 or something. That usually happens after a firing, then things settle back to where the team plays to its talent. The only way a manager/coach can shut up criticis is "just win baby." We're not winning, so my stance is unwinnable. I hope I can force myself to stop posting defense of Ozzie cause I can't win. And let me beat the next person who will respond to this by saying, 'We can only hope (that greg stops posting)." I enjoy reading your posts. Please continue.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:52 AM) I get not charging him criminally, but I cannot believe he won't be disciplined by the school. You'd have to be a complete moron to not know that was wrong, which means he made a conscious choice to do it. He has now been placed on leave per TPM.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 18, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) Really? They can't figure out more effective ways to spend their funds than that? If they can get textbooks in iPad format then I think it's a great idea.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 18, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) Until his next L, when everyone here will be screaming for his head again. Perhaps you haven't been paying much attention to the Sox this year. I haven't seen many people calling for his head this season.

If we can get it to 4 to 5 games back over the next 10 days what does Kenny do?

All incoming freshmen at IIT get an iPad.

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 18, 2010 -> 04:00 PM) got them all right. I'm almost tempted to force someone who never watched Lost to take this quiz. I missed the one regarding Sawyer and Miles' occupation in the "alternate" reality. I was thinking their job in the dharma initiative.

Ridiculously easy Lost quiz on the Sun Times home page. I got one wrong because I read the question too fast.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2010 -> 03:39 PM) That goes back to personnel. If he had a legitimate leadoff option, it wouldn't have been Wise for him to go with Wise and he knew that as well. But he over-uses guys that are the 24th and 25th man on the roster. Just look at Randy Williams as a perfect example. Through the entire month of April, Williams led the bullpen in appearances even though he's by far our worst reliever. No other manager in Ozzie's shoes would do that IMO. EDIT: To this date, Williams has the 2nd most appearances. Mind boggling.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2010 -> 03:34 PM) I don't know if he's saying that, but that's the feeling of most fans. Fire the manager; play the second team quarterback; pull that goalie! I personally decide whether I think a manager/coach knows his s*** and if I think he knows his s*** I stick with him in good times and bad no matter the shift in personnel. I already said Oz should have NO ROLE in future personnel decisions, just manage the guys the GM gives him. It usually is a disaster when coaches double as GMs. Oz knows his s***; Oz is a future White Sox Hall of Famer. Deal with it. But when he's given players like Wise, Omar, Mackowiak, etc he over-uses them and plays them out of position. And to top it off he has them bat in ridiculous spots in the lineup like Wise leading off.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 18, 2010 -> 03:03 PM) Soxnet.net game summary. BTW, nice post game write ups. I've been enjoying them.
