  1. Kenny better start working the phones and get another bat in this lineup.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) Royals pitching looking pretty good in their opening series. I retract that statement.

  5. Over time I've learn to appreciate Ozzie less and less as a manager. He's a pretty good motivator but he can't fill out a lineup card correctly, misuses the bullpen too frequently, and overuses bench players.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 01:59 PM) Hmm, I think you need to worry less about multi-tasking on your device and more about managing your time better....listening to music instead of the second game of the year....Blasphemy! Meh. There was very little to listen to last night with our 2 hits. Hawk gets on my nerves rather easily.
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 01:55 PM) You were listening to music while watching the game? No, you cannot. You could have music playing via the iPod function while you used one of the other applications. You could check the remaining applications very easily as well, but you could not leave them open. I'll tell you how I use it...I put the game on tv, I use the iPad to watch my fantasy league, to check my emails, and to post on Soxtalk. Yeah. I downloaded a bunch of new albums and was filtering what was worth putting on my mp3 player.
  8. Just to break things up here.... Last night I followed the Sox game on TV on the couch with my laptop. Had the game thread open, MLB Gameday, tweetdeck, pidgeon IM, and lala streaming music. Can I do all of that with an iPad? I seriously want to know.
  9. Jones is playing today. Woot! Pierre dh Beckham 4 Quentin 9 PK 3 Jones 8 AJ 2 Rios 7 Teahen 5 Ram 6
  10. Wtf is that? Looks like Karl Rove after a genetic experiment gone horribly awry.
  11. I'm an elitist. I buy granola from the bulk section at Whole Foods. I can't stand sugary cereals.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 12:21 PM) Jenks lack of velocity on his fastball has hurt his curve as well. Since he can no longer throw a high fastball past hitters, he no longer has the hook as a weapon. It's well beyond the time when we should have gotten rid of him. Who didn't know he would allow a run in the 9th last night? BTW, Matt Thornton is amazing! For real. I'm quite disappointed that we sat on him for so long.
  13. QUOTE (hogan873 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:31 AM) Peavy didn't have his best stuff last night, but giving up three runs is not atrocious. The offense needs to step it up now. Getting nothing done against their mediocre bullpen was very disconcerting.
  14. How about some Andruw Jones? The guy is growing algae on his body by sitting in the cold, damp dugout.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 07:44 AM) The problem BS is that the opposing party thinks this is a great idea and should be expanded. Well I for one will be consistent against the expansion of the executive branch's power. This is straight up bulls*** and it's unconstitutional.
  16. This makes Obama impeachable in my book.
  17. Seeing that most pitchers are righties we'll be seeing a lot of Kotsay at DH. Awesome.
  18. Twins and Tigers should win tonight. And I have no idea why I'm scoreboard watching already.
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) Hey guys! I'm watching via gamecast, looks like Peavy stumbled into an inning of trouble. Struggling with control for most of the night, hit a couple batters, and a few weak hits.
  20. Couple of runs here and a lights out bullpen would be nice for a Peavy win.
  21. I think Peavy gets the chance at a 5 inning win.
