  1. pods excellent sac fly! that guy really does all things necessary to win!
  2. the one very positive from todays game was absolutely garland! he actually was extremely pumped up from the get go & was very confident thruout the game. he looked to be in command and really pitched extremely well! today was the beginning in my mind of a ace caliber pitcher in JG! i know that his record is great and all but to me this was really the first time that i really saw him grab the ball and say they ain't beatin me today...
  3. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) Dream on they are 9 games behind Cardinals <{POST_SNAPBACK}> wild card team has won last 3 WS i believe....
  4. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) This f***ing blows against this s***hole team <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually i think the cubs will be in the world series against us this year....both teams have awesome starting pitching.
  5. the power of math killed us in this disaster...score 12 runs and then you are due to score 3 total in 2 games....i hate blow outs!
  6. the only problem is the error on the board...low prob of winning being out-errored...btw....when was our last error....foreverago!
  7. QUOTE(sin city sox fan @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 02:06 PM) Hopefully Ozzie is getting tossed during the commercials....we need something to start a spark! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> jerry manuel would go out and argue after we were winnin by a good margin and then not get out there when we needed him! that really frustrated me!
  8. i really like the way that oz is in every game...i mean once again he jumped out of the dugout and immediately removed crede from that situation. more importantly thru the year it seems that each sox player respects oz and immediately lets him take over!
  9. QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) that's MY BOY. i'll have everyone on my Shoot Damaso Marte Bandwagon before it's all over. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> marte has all the tools to be unstoppable...it is just a matter of confidence for him...i still think that jerry manuel somewhat screwed him up by not making him the man...!
  10. and the reason that politte is not in the game is????
  11. who is going to pitch the 8th & 9th for the other team?
  12. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) This looks like the Sox of 2004. Score 12 runs in the first game of a series, 2 in the second, and get shut out in the last. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that is exactly my point!
  13. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) Absolutely no reason to be 1st pitch swinging there. Another mistake, they are beating themselves. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that sure is true...why do hitters think that a pitcher who just walked someone is due to throw a first pitch strike? especially how badly he was missing...
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) Well, we deserve to lose this game. Cubs are playing with more of a sense of urgency than we are, and all it took was one mistake by Garland and whoever called that stupid 0-2 pitch to put us in the hole. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> exactly...it aint over yet....
  15. well one reason i prefer AL baseball over NL is that it is only a 1-0 game so we don't have to pull Garland for a pinch hitter...
  16. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) Unfortunately no. Following along here, doing some project work that has to be done early this week. Probably for the best, I would be exasperated by this offensive performance thus far. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> jimh mlb.tv gotta get it if you can...
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Prior = cruise control. Dye swung at a ball at his shoulders, Rowand K'd on a fastball right down the chute. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> has there ever been no hitters in the same game?
  18. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 12:11 PM) Nice play by sPod! Lee flies out to LF and end of the inning. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> nice job by pods to get to the wall first on lee's flyout!
  19. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 26, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) Ichiro's rookie year in 2001: August: .429 Batting Average September: .337 Batting Average Haha, you tried to bulls*** me. It's besides the point anyway, every man is a different mang. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> might not have been the first year...but the year of baseball is shorter in Japan...and i remember that ichiro usually has tailed off at the end of the year...i think the sox are trying to give him some time off because this is his first year in MLB....i wasn't trying to BS you....
