  1. good read on the blitz almost fumbled it away wow
  2. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) when you blitz everyone, you must at least get to the qb and make him move around it's that same blitz they love to run. where everyone rushes the middle, and they all manage to get blocked.
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 18, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) Way to go Rick Sanchez!!! :headbang lol that was pretty good. i watched some of the CNN coverage.
  4. It's not that funny wtf
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 18, 2009 -> 09:30 AM) I wouldn't want a statue, i would want a huge spotlight shooting picture of my face into the sky every night, like batman. that would be better
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 17, 2009 -> 02:33 PM) You could take those quotes, and they are pretty much exactly the same as what BushCo was saying about attacking Iran. Just sayin'. but what about change?
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 06:18 PM) why are we so against this private business right now trying to make profit? Corporations writing legislation, endless bailouts, special rights for certain businesses; f*** yea.
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 05:39 PM) Greenwald's been writing articles about this, that it was the insurance companies' plans all along. They basically are going to write laws, on terms favorable to them. They have been paying their bribes on time, they are entitled. USA! USA!
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 05:16 PM) Edit: I'm not a hypocrite btw, the number isn't that important if we're talking about the difference between Funniest analogy I saw was from Nate Silver who said exaggerating by a factor that large is like claiming to have a 53 inch penis. Reminds me of Obama's saved or created jobs line. Today I saved 50 billion jobs. I should be president.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 10:34 PM) Tonight's topic for discussion. When George W. Bush was President, more than a few celebrities embarrassed themselves. Britney Spears was even a "Singer" who did so. Why was George W. Bush not asked to comment on them, while Obama was asked (off the record of course) about his opinion on Kanye West? "Because they're racist. "
  11. "you guys are all racists. "
  12. QUOTE (chunk23 @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 10:06 PM) You might be looking at Buchanan through the scope of a neocon, which he is not. He's your old school run of the mill isolationist conservative. He's just a crazy person who MSNBC puts on as a whipping boy. Using him to prove MSNBC isn't completely biased is a peculiar argument. If anything it is evidence of the opposite.
  13. QUOTE (chunk23 @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 09:20 PM) Funny that you say Bill Clinton Type Democrat, as Clinton is widely recognized as being a Conservative. I wish MSNBC was far left wing as you think they are. If they were, they would be criticizing Obama for abandoning single payer without a thought. As well as increasing military action in Pakistan and Afghanistan, selling out to lobbyists, and ignoring gay rights. Pro-Obama does not mean far radical left wing, seeing as Obama is by all measures a centrist at best. edit: just for an idea of the liberal MSM myth, look at the list of just how much Rupert Murdoch controls. http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2008/05/28/mcclellan/ I used the example of 'Bill Clinton' Democrats for a reason. The major networks news rooms don't have the same agenda as the fringes of the Democrat party; I wanted to make that clear. But they are pro-Democrat and partisan, that much is very evident. Rupert Murdoch's FOX news is part of the mainstream media, I stated this about 3 posts ago. FOX news is partisan as well, but I doubt I need to convince you of that.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) Which is of course why Liberals dominate the blogosphere. Because they were so thrilled with the news sources out there. But don't most of them consider themselves independent to some extent? Besides MSNBC and FOX, the other major TV news divisions are more along the lines of Bill Clinton type Democrats.
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 08:41 PM) My point here is that there is an entire "mainstream" conservative media presence. Unless one is to believe that hundreds of thousands of people appear in DC because of genuine grassroots populist outrage. There definitely is, without question. It was inevitable, as much of the 'news' media alienated half their audience, new media sources would cater to this discouraged audience.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 08:39 PM) I love how MSNBC runs what, 4 hours of Joe Scarborough in the morning and is therefore the left wing equivalent of Fox News. ah yes, the Alan Colmes argument. Since Alan Colmes was on Hannity's show, it means it was totally non-biased. 50% was a liberal. But anyways, MSNBC has gone further out of the mainstream than FOX.
  17. QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 08:30 PM) Yah, I never understood this "mainstream media" thing. Aren't Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh mainstream? FOX news is definitely mainstream media now.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 08:24 PM) If the democrats go on a 40 year crusade about how the media is conservative and unfair, then we'll see how that poll looks in 40 years. They would likely be laughed at. The Dems still have MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC news all strong pro-Democrat. Now, it may not be the far left wing radical screeching of MSNBC , but they are still pro-Democrat.
  19. An interesting study on people's view of the news media done by the Pew Research Center. http://people-press.org/report/543/ cable news chart -
  20. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 11:08 AM)
  21. that game was a major let down
  22. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 10:39 PM) I think its great to see so many people politically motivated for what is hopefully the right reasons, even if I disagree with their positions. That is if I could figure out what those positions were. The dude from FreedomWorks who was one of the organizers of the event said 450K and I'd take that number at their word. I believe they are against blood for oil or something.
