Obama Speech on Health Care, 9/9/09
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 10, 2009 -> 11:59 AM) I guess ID is better for a town hall than pledging a loyalty oath to the Executive Branch. Oh, well, if Dick Cheney did it than it must be right and good. Glad he is the new Democrat role model.

Obama Speech on Health Care, 9/9/09
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 10, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) Why is this lie perpetuated? probably because there is no bill to even go off of and the Democrats like to have loopholes in this kind of stuff. like no checking ID's, ever, for anything (except town halls of course) for the record, I believe Obama and don't think he's lying.

Obama Speech on Health Care, 9/9/09
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 10, 2009 -> 11:48 AM) I'm sure that's already happening, we just haven't heard about it yet. But a guy who only won with 53% in a tight district, can't really afford to do what he did. There will be a big chunk of middle-of-the-road voters that will immediately shift. not sure it has that much staying power. and if Obama does indeed give health care to illegals, the guy wins easily.

Obama Speech on Health Care, 9/9/09
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 10, 2009 -> 11:36 AM) $200k already raised for Rep. Wilson's opponent next year. Going in to yesterday, the cash-on-hand was about $250k for Wilson and $50k for his opponent. No idea how much Wilson has raised off of his statement yet. That was a competitive district last time out, Wilson only won 53% of the vote, so that money bomb is certainly hitting a competitive seat. Queue Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity to give it some publicity and try to raise money for the other guy.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 04:44 PM) From the first reports out of the Supreme Court today, a majority of justices seemed to be leaning towards the side of eliminating every corporate campaign finance limitation on the books. (Tonight's speech by the President, brought to you by Wellpoint insurance). I guess corporations bribing congress with billions just isn't enough.

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 10:00 AM) he left wing opposition does it too, but not nearly as loudly or effectively as the right wing's fringe. Oh, I wouldn't say that. The left wing fringe is just as loud and effective. but anyways, check this out http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=109314

The Republican Thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 7, 2009 -> 02:28 PM) No conspiracy. Just pointing out that you guys defended those numbers and asked why the media wouldn't cover how good the economy was when Bush was running things. And I mean specifically you guys...there was at least a handful of those posts and threads here over the years. Now suddenly you've all decided you agree with me and those numbers are garbage. I think I can enjoy an I told you so or 50. I'll grant you recognition on the 'told you so' as far as real unemployment statistics. But the unemployment numbers seen during G.W. Bush will not be back until 2014 (if even then). So, yea, it was a hell of a lot better than now. Not saying W didn't embrace policies that help create this mess, as he did. Oh, you misinterpreted the U-6 definition recently. There is my told you so.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 7, 2009 -> 10:11 AM) I really enjoyed the jobs report this time around... Yeah the numbers are narrowing a lot... Did the press miss the July downward revision by 110,000 jobs? That was the month when they tried to up tick the unemployment rate. Yeah... US GOV: "There were 250,000 jobs lost in August, but unemployment is going down!" lol yea right it is.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:33 AM) Bears 20-0. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:43 AM) They go 16-0 and have to play in the wild card? That is a neat trick QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 08:47 AM) 16 Regular season games. 3 Playoff Games (Divisional, Conference, Super Bowl) 1 Pro-Bowl because the NFC squad is 100% Bears.

QUOTE (Cknolls @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 12:03 PM) And wingnut Jones resigns in a letter dated Sept. 5th and released near midnight on the 6th. SHHHHH maybe no one will notice Van the Man is not here anymore. But the Times and the Post are on the beat, with the WAPO running their first story on this guy. Oh and its all the right wing's fault. Gee I wonder why nobody reads newspapers anymore. Van Jones, the 'Green Jobs' Czar is completely bats*** crazy. It's very telling that someone as out of his mind as this guy would be in charge of what is supposedly going to save the economy.- The Republican Thread

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 02:14 PM) Oh hey, that guy that got his finger bitten off in that fight outside a townhall the other day? Admitted on Fox News he threw the first punch after the biter called him an "idiot." http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/cspanj...inger-bitten-to Healthers are tough guys. Getting in some old man's face, provoking said old man to take a swing, then beating up an old man and biting his finger off is manly. Proves how macho you are. - The Republican Thread
