  1. A- great record, but could be so much better if the starters pulled their heads out of their asses (4.60 starters ERA)
  2. Havlat's stats may have been padded by playing on such a stacked team. We will see. Bell is not a huge loss, imo.
  3. My pick for the HR Derby winner? Shocking, I am sure. Personally, I want Jermaine to win, but I think Howard will take it.
  4. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) Are you calling Steve a liar? He has a green one for St. Patty's day and a black one for every other day. yeah. dammit.
  5. QUOTE(IamPabloOzuna @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:17 AM) So recently i went shopping for a sox t-shirt...i have plenty of bears and bulls gear but for some reason, as far as the sox go (the team i support the most) i only have caps (about 8)...So i bought a konerko jersey t-shirt. My question is where are the Jermaine Dye shirts....everywhere i went to look for a shirt was strictly Buehrle/Pods/Kong/Garcia/Thome..yes alot of ppl are left out, but Dye is huge. Where are the Dye jeresey shirts??? there are 8 million jermaine dye shirts at every champs store in the greater chicagoland area. perhaps, that is where they all are? i know this, because I have a green one for st. patty's day and a black one for every other day.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 7, 2006 -> 11:00 AM) ^^^^^^ One of the biggest bargains in baseball. THE biggest bargain in baseball if you count players who are not still on rookie/arbitration contracts.
  7. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 08:55 PM) What exactly do you mean when you say you are done with him? done getting excited about seeing him start. i was all over this guy when we got him... figured he'd be racking up the strike outs, and have a great whip (which he did start off with) im done thinking he's going to ever revert back to the montreal days. thats what i was hoping for. he's at best an innings eater who will finish the season with a 4.50 era. not awful, but not what i was hoping for either.
  8. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 07:54 PM) did this really warrant its own thread? um, yeah. but thanks for the comment, forum troll. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) I'm sure he goes out there and says, "I won't be pitching today. Not well, anyway. Score some runs if you wish to win, and hope the bullpen holds up, teammates!" gee, or maybe he's got the 16 million in his back pocket and doesn't put forth as much effort as he could in workouts, stretches, etc. if you think that no players work like that you're living in lala land. :headshake
  9. I've been defending him all year, but I'm at the point where I can't take it anymore. It just doesn't look like the effort is there. The guy can pitch, but he's choosing not to... at least Jon and Freddy have their good games, but Javy just plain stinks.
  10. You just have to love the White Sox Marketing Department. from Whitesox.com
  11. QUOTE(G&T @ Jul 4, 2006 -> 01:51 AM) Jones is in his late twenties, almost thirty I think. He's notorious for not trying his hardest (something that won't sit well with Guillen), and this move doesn't satisfy the biggest problem the team has. Those are some negatives, and while there is great upside to this trade, I don't really see the point to it unless there's a pitcher on the way in some other deal. The Sox don't need Jones, they need pitching. ha, he's also "notorious" for hitting almost 40 homers a year.
  12. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 3, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) Word. I need to get into the swing of things period. My prized 2010 draft pick Charles Ornelas went from 5.0 stars to 4.0 stars. the stars dont mean s***!
  13. dude, we beat out a yankee last year. lets do this s***.
  14. it could be wayy worse. photoshop is the ideal program.
  15. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 03:04 PM) Stay on the f***ing North Side. We don't want you or need you. ha, what a bunch of tools. they should stay on the northside This post has been edited by the Soxtalk staff to remove objectionable material. 16. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) I'm happy to hear your review. At first, I was a little leery about seeing it. But I have changed my tune, especially since I've learned that it's a continuation of the first two movies --- both movies which I saw many during my childhood. I can't wait to see it and I never listen to Ebert, anyway. you will enjoy it.
  17. i think the bullpen is better sans politte
