  1. I was happy to see El Duque go out there and get it done, but I still think we need insurance. I no longer feel that it is necessary to get Schmidt, Zito, or Burnett, but a guy like Redman or Lilly would look fantastic on this team as insurance.
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) I know there is a most improved player, or come back player award. Is Shingo close to the unofficial biggest flop award recipient? Think about how his stock fell in less than ONE year. oh come on now, there are far more disappointing players in the bigs. dan kolb, for example.
  3. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) Alright then, look at your sig. :finger dude, what are you smoking today? Nice work on the queer looking Ipod thing.
  4. Jeff Weaver could be a solid fifth starter, however, I'm starting to turn the corner and think that the Sox really don't need a starter for what they would have to give up. We need bullpen help, and maybe help at 3B. I've decided if I take Joe Crede for what he is, he can get the job done. He is a great defensive 3B and sometimes comes up the with clutch hit (last night).
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 09:11 AM) And we all noticed that you can't grasp sarcasm.. blah blah. any post by steff is ignored from now on. uh-oh, bye bye. :uhoh
  6. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 08:57 AM) Well thanks for pointing that out. I was just wondering if anyone had any inside info as to how this type of deal works. don't worry, i noticed last week that steff usually is quick to jump down somones throat. i don't know why, but dont wory about it retro.
  7. yeah, what the hell is that and why are we supposed to care?
  8. good move for the cubs.
  9. geez, everyone talks about how disappointing the yankees have been this year, but how about the red sox? neither of these teams are 10 games above .500. if the orioles were halfway decent (though thank you for beating the twins) they could have run away with this. Red Sox suck Yankees suck.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) That pudge HR was pretty amazing... that was high and in. oh, he was sitting on it. if that pitch had been outside he would have looked like a fool. A lot of players will mess up a pitch if they call what's coming.
  11. Joe Crede... boy would this team be special if he could start doing what we always thought he would. Oh boy. Nice game, that 7th inning will be burned in my memory forever.
  12. this game has been simply awesome.
  13. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) You're right about Pds. I have no idea who Crash is... Ozuna? Yes, Ozuna is fast, too. But Gooch isn't fast. Don't make that mistake. I'd say we're fine with Ozuna off the bench to use as a pinch runner in a playoff situation. Having Harris would be a luxury. dude. crash rowand
  14. if you want it, pm me and ill add your name
  15. crede crede crede wtf DEFENSIVE PLAY OF THE GAME?? they could wait to tell us until later
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) Scott's on 2nd so much with no outs, Tad's batting average is going to be down to like .250 soon. Tad's awesome, gets him over, absolutely awesome. uhm, doesnt that count as a sacrifice hit, aka doesnt count against his BA?
  17. nice work by tad giving himself up
  18. hey can anyone tell me who is aboz??? i said to get over the fact that maggs was on the tigers, and he banned me from the chat room. if i couldnt get suspended from sox talk, id call him a name. ps nice double by scotty!! over .300!
