QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 02:32 PM) I already grew accustomed to the Pelicans and I was convinced by the author (Petchesky I think?) from Deadspin who argued for the name. It's awesome. I agree, I already had kinda become down with the Pelicans.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 01:18 PM) Wooot! Just got tickets for Louis CK tomorrow night. That's awesome. The wife and I saw him about a year ago in Chicago - his act is always different, raunchy, and hilarious. Enjoy.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) Ah well my vote goes to Rougarou's. The logo could be potential be pretty BA. That's apparently what one looks like. It got beads for showing its sweet, sweet tits.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 11:31 AM) His bat is the problem. It's funny how you make such a good point yet a group on the board will dispute it just because it's a Marty34 post. The dude had a 96 OPS+ last year, yet people think he's a superstar bat in waiting.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 09:30 AM) Tons and tons of guns are smuggled into the US from Mexico, especially automatic weapons. If you'd like to believe otherwise, feel free. Why does the cartel buy guns from the Sons of Anarchy if they're so easily produced in Mexico!? Come on, think!

The Bulls' FO is so out of touch and clueless. I can't believe they can't bring in some management that understands how to compete in the NBA. The signing of Kirk Hinrich should have been the straw that broke the camel's back, but now they are going a step further to think they could trade a completely worthless player with $4 million GUARANTEED on his deal next year and expect to not take on trash salary back and or rid themselves of a pick in the process. I want a forward thinking GM that can make the right call, not someone who brings back Kirk to satiate the white fan base that adored him the first time around.

It's going to be sad when one of the teams calls itself "Sox Suck".

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 08:18 AM) Hasn't it been pointed out already that the Bulls are pretty much the worst 3 point shooting team in the league right now? They are also fewest in attempts. Redick standing stationary at the 3 point line isn't going to make him suddenly open.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 08:19 AM) The problem is...out of the 2, you'd clearly keep Nate and dump Hinrich right now. Robinson has out of control games, but at least can help you win some. Sadly, they signed Kirk to a two-year deal. That abomination should have never been signed as stated the moment it happened. Two weeks later, OJ Mayo gets the same contract.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 07:27 AM) You may not enjoy it for too much longer. If this is true, I just don't know what to say. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...story?track=rss I'm not too concerned about Nate staying around, I was just saying he was enjoyable to watch last night. He's obviously still really an out of control player who on most nights can cause as much damage as he can assistance. He, and the team, were just quite enjoyable last night, with Joakim's jazz hands, Taj's sky hook, Butler's up-tempo play, and Nate draining everything (and even almost dunking in insane fashion). He can go, though. But I think the team likes him and he's got the right attitude that there'd be no reason to not keep him on the roster.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 06:03 AM) J.J Redick would be such an ideal fit for them right now. A guy who can't create his own shot and is a stationary pull-up jumper? He'd be nice excess, but he's not taking the Bulls anywhere they aren't going already, imo.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 09:47 PM) I like that Jo retired the six shooters routine. He's replaced it with jazz hands. Yeah, that cracked me up.

Watching the Bulls, and especially Nate Robinson, this evening, was surprisingly enjoyable. It helps when everything goes right.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 05:13 PM) Can't we all just get along? Come here Steve give me a big bro hug I'm too much of a competitor to embrace my sworn enemies. You know, like Derrick Rose. Oh, wait.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 05:04 PM) What I'm saying is, it isn't your job to mod. If you think Rzza's post are stupid, put him on ignore and move on. Having to go through the back and forth bickering that adds no value is pointless. Listen, he re-posted the stupidity that is our bench and supporting cast is better this year than last year. This thread has already been through that debate with him multiple times. He acted as a troll and was called out as such and then I moved along and ignored his continued troll-like posts that included baiting with name calls and Kirk Hinrich speak. Jumping in on the tail end of a conversation and dishing out warnings like that annoys me. I have changed my posting style plenty, and have made concessions where they need be. In this case, a troll was trolling and told as such, and had I not said it, someone else would have.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:59 PM) Steve...quit with the stupid posts. Getting sick and tired of all of the nonsense that comes from your keystrokes. Probably 20% of your posts add value. The other 80% are stupid one-liners which aren't necessary. I don't believe your figures to be true, and if you want to single me out of the 20 or so posters who call RZZZA a troll because he's a troll, go right ahead. Also, feel free to read more of my posts over the past month or so and more of his posts over the last month or so and get back to me.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:58 PM) For all we know they could have done it last year had Rose not went down. Sure - last year's supporting cast and bench was way better than this year. I'm not arguing that. I was arguing the Bulls' roster as currently assembled.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:53 PM) By the way...Congress has enacted legislation preventing the FBI or ATF from actually looking into this question and trying to track down systematically what fraction of guns were purchased legally or whether there are specific dealers who are sourcing large numbers of guns used in crimes. Great idea.
-
QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:39 PM) Angels signed Pujols last year to a longer and more lucrative deal, and the attendance in Anaheim did not go up. It went DOWN. Hamilton is NOT a "fannies in seats guy". If Albert Pujols, a legit HOFer in waiting, cant bring in the fans, then why would a drug addict already on the decline do it for fans? Though I agree with the main premise of your post, his statistics argue against the whole decline thing. Not that I don't expect decline moving forward.

Can we assume that the guns that the bangers in Alpha's story were all illegal? None were acquired legally? Perhaps with fewer guns in circulation, fewer guns would have been available, and all the sudden 6 guns turns to 1 or something. You can't just assume that if you remove Alpha's gun you aren't removing other guns.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:40 PM) Honestly, no, I haven't watched a game this year. I will watch a game when Derrick Rose returns. Then why are you involved in this discussion and telling people about Rip Hamilton and Carlos Boozer? They are both f***ing abysmal players now and forever.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:37 PM) I get what's going on this year to his numbers...but still, you can't tell me that Noah was nearly that effective post-injury in 2011. He just wasn't. He was a beast on the circus trip that year, hurt his hand, and then came back as sort of an average contributor who you felt ok with benching down the stretch because he wasn't going to take over. I'll give you that, but the rest of the 10/11 roster more than made up for anything they lost from Noah. And given his doomsday usage, Noah's not going to be around for these playoffs.
-
I also cannot believe that Balta brought up possible contributions from Rip f***ing Hamilton and Carlos f***ing Boozer as reasons this team would be better than 10/11. Have you watched a game? Rip is glass and Boozer is one of the least valuable players in basketball.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) Noah is playing better (10/11 he was really not that great after the first month when he got hurt), Boozer was useless in those playoffs because of injury, and Hamilton might be a nice contributor if he was ever around. Bench has been downgraded clearly, but the rotation pieces could be better. Both Noah and Deng were more efficient players in 10/11 than this year. It's been discussed ad nauseum, but Noah's spike in production has been caused by a doomsday amount of minutes while crushing his percentage from the field.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) why are you such a dick? your opinion is not law Because there's no point anymore. You are a troll.
