  1. I'm surprised Milwood hasn't been moved to a contender. He's pitched pretty well this season, despite his record.
  2. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Aug 27, 2012 -> 07:17 PM) the 2005 bullpen is like the 85 Bears to me well said. This entire pitching staff needs to wake the f*** up and stop letting walks beat this team.
  3. Would be nice to be up 4 games in the loss column heading into detoilet this weekend.
  4. And by the way, Billingsly's elbow looks like it's done for the year.
  5. That was an epic collapse. And a gutsy win. It was almost like they weren't going to allow themselves to suffer the pain of a loss like that. Damnthis team is fun to watch this season!
  6. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 23, 2012 -> 07:32 PM) He actually said "Or Magglio Ordonez who they signed in 2001", but I figured why even count Maggs if he was not actually drafted what what?
  7. Because I can't help myself... Cowley on Sale
  8. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 08:07 PM) Girardi argued with a Sox fan during his press conference?? Pat Boyle ‏@CSNBoyle We'll have it soon on CSN! RT @ChuckGarfien: Joe Girardi interrupted his press conference to confront a Sox fan who shouted "Sweep!!"
  9. Anyone else watch the YES network? Kay's sidekick was sure whiny about that 1-1 pitch to Tex. And so clueless when he talked about the personnel on the Sox. Wonder what he thinks now?
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 09:14 AM) Chris Sale hasn't lost a game at home since May 12. 6-0 with a 1.17 era in last 7 home starts. F*cking bring it. And he doesn't give up walks like every other pitcher has been doing a lot recently. Look forward to watching that. I think the Yankees are starting to hear footsteps. Sphincter factor at defcon 3
  11. Great win! But where the hell are all the fans?? Did school start already? I bet that's the smallest crowd the Yankees have played in front of all season.
  12. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 05:34 PM) Yikes Dunn .207
  13. "...I haven't gotten into the full rehab process. I hear that's a little tougher." Yes, John, it is. I don't know how many of you guys have had major surgery on joints, but speaking from experience, the rehab is BRUTAL. I tore my kneecap in half playing softball and once rehab started I thought I'd never be able to bend it again. I was biting on a towel to keep from screaming when the therapist was bending it only a few degrees! Once you get motion, then you have to start strengthening all those muscles that atrophied...ugh. I really do marvel at the modern athlete and their ability to come back from some pretty serious stuff.
  14. As pissed off as I get at Beckham, I still think he will break out and be an all-star. I do think the Sox have failed him on some level like JP said, probably taking more of a band-aid approach to his hitting issues rather than sending him back to the minors to fix the issue long term, but this guy was a helluva talent and I just don't see giving up on it yet.
  15. Seems like when AD has it going, the offense has it going. When he doesn't, we sit around waiting for the long ball. But I will say I can't imagine another team keeping Dunn at the 3 spot for nearly 2 seasons when he hasn't hit over .200 in those seasons combined.
  16. He must've lost touch with his savior for a minute there in the dugout.
  17. Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin Floyd showing major anger in the dugout, throwing and then kicking what looked like a bucket Hurt? Hurt feelings?
  18. Freddy has that look: a guy who's about to get shelled one of these innings and he knows it. Just need to stay in the game.
  19. QUOTE (Real @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 01:33 PM) typical second half sox, don't act surprised f***ing awful, first round bounced out if this team does back in to the playoffs where was this when they took3 of 4 from the jays?
