  1. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 12, 2015 -> 11:25 AM) We'll have to disagree here. I saw another sloppy defensive effort and poor starting pitching that was papered over by some offense. Even when the Sox hit, they don't play clean baseball. The error by Ramirez and the ball Micah couldn't get to are plays that absolutely need to be made. Johnson is now at -.2 fWAR. He's in good company however, most of the team is in the negative. What a s*** show. Eaton is showing signs but holy f*** somehow (and I believe based on the eye test) he's been worse than even Avi in the outfield. Hard to win many games when your CF and RF are sitting at a combined -8 runs below average 30 games into the season. If you're looking for perfection you're not going to find it. The errors cost them, no doubt, yet they found a way to tie the game late and had it not been for a bad outing from a so-far reliable Duke, they may have pulled it out.
  2. Sox are 10-14 against the AL Central, thanks to 2 road sweeps at KC and MIN. Of the 29 games they've played, nearly half (14) of those have come against the 2 best and hottest teams in the AL -- KC and DET. Not a great formula for starting the season. Yes, they've played s***ty as well but I wouldn't sell the season just yet. It's a team that seems to be finding its rhythm, especially if production from Eaton and Cabrera and Ramirez continues to show signs of life. Sale and Samardzija won't be this bad all season.
  3. good game last night. Nice to see the offense have the ability to fight back like that. Win tonight and win the series.
  4. QUOTE (reiks12 @ May 11, 2015 -> 06:36 PM) wow my stream is way behind you guys since i started new medication my stream has improved dramatically
  5. if only hawk's fantasies and reality could come to some sort of agreement.
  6. ah, who knows, might come back and win this thing. still say we can win this series.
  7. GREAT DEFENSE! NICE THROW AVI!
  8. blame RV all you want, but this team as constituted is not very good
  9. Lexi should've gotten to that. I think he doesn't like Samardzija
  10. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 11, 2015 -> 04:48 PM) what was the error? lexi, easy play too
  11. now if that were Beckham who picked that barehanded we would've endured another hawkgasm.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 8, 2015 -> 04:35 PM) Levine reporting Robin has been asked to be more hands on by the front office, whatever that means. That is a strange statement. Suggests he's been too detached?
  13. Looks like pretty bad weather heading toward the cell tonight. Wonder if it will be a long delay or a PPD
  14. The only chance the Sox have of playing decent ball this summer is if guys like Eaton and Alexei get it going. Just have to ride it out.
  15. well...tough to sweep anybody, especially a team many think is the best in the league
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2015 -> 01:11 PM) Alexei might as well homer this inning Flowers will homer if Detroit gets a big enough lead.
  17. "Gordon has flashed some leather over there at third." except when it could've kept the game tied.
  18. they really haven't been able to do s*** against this guy
