  1. I don't know why, but I am lovin' the hostilities brewing on the south side - GM storms out of the clubhouse, manager calls his team horses***, players feeling neglected. Haven't seen this kind of drama in awhile.
  2. QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 01:37 PM) I heard he was going to the DL for starvation. He hasn't eaten since breakfast. this is one of the funniest things i've read in a long time
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 02:32 PM) It could be his knee. If he can't drive with his back leg, he isn't getting velocity. If his bad knee is his land leg, he might not be pushing as hard because the landing hurts, so he isn't getting his full velocity that way either. I'm relieved it's not his shoulder. He was great in that start in Anaheim. I think he can be like that again.
  4. I have a feeling all of the chaos and uncertainty is going to benefit this team. Pull together, play hard.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 08:16 PM) Sounds like we won't see him for a long time. did i miss something?
  6. so how does that platoon thing account for the 0fer today?
  7. I got no problem with him going to Arizona to see if he has anything left in the tank. He became a pretty good junk ball pitcher and actually threw a pretty good game against the Sox last year before he lost it. I mean...what's the harm? I think reaction has a lot more to do with the state of the current roster than it does with the fact that they're taking a flier on Freddy. Fans are looking for improvement and they see this and think WTF??!! Adding fuel to the fire.
  8. whoa, what is this BULLs*** about creating an awkward situation for his teammates as well? What is there, some sort of pro-Josh squad in the clubhouse? Paging Msrs. Thome, Dye and Konerko - please step the f*** up and act like leaders on this team and let us know that this is BULLs***.
  9. but of course at some point the law of averages has to rear its head
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 03:39 PM) We need an outside viewpoint. Buddy Bell?
  11. okay, so lets say some of you guys get your wish and Ozzie Guillen gets fired. Who manages?
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 02:05 PM) First 15,000 fans get chopsticks to skewer their eyeballs during the Sox ABs. that's good stuff!
  13. all right, now keep it there and lets walk this OFF!
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 01:25 PM) No way, not with the Tigers front of the rotation if they make it and stay healthy. actually, you may be right.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 01:25 PM) No way, not with the Tigers front of the rotation if they make it and stay healthy. not enough
  16. i don't know about you, but i would be scared s***less leaning over the plate to bunt a 101 mph fastball
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2009 -> 01:23 PM) Just like the what, 82-80 2006 St. Louis Cardinals? yes!
