  1. i just have this funny feeling that the day off could trigger a turning point
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 14, 2009 -> 09:09 PM) Hunter would have pissed people off here something intense. His defense isn't what it used to be 2-3 years ago, and he put up an .810 OPS last year. Do you really want to pay someone like that $18 mill a year? have you been watching him play?
  3. crede with another clutch hit - single completes the comeback, twins up 6-5. Verlander was awesome again today...
  4. to me it looked like Jose was dropping down on EVERYTHING he threw, instead of occasionally doing it to throw off hitters. Seems like he just gave up on throwing from over the top.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 14, 2009 -> 08:46 AM) He's had 2 awful starts and 5 good ones. He's doing a lot better than the White Sox #3 starter at the moment. just curious, what do you think it would take to bring him back?
  6. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 13, 2009 -> 07:26 PM) Fail on two accounts: 1. Sizemore is proven to be 10x the player Josh will ever be. 2. I never said K's were the reason he's a bust. K's factor in, but in today's game, you gotta look past K's a lot of times. Also, they are both at 39. sorry, i didn't read your post, just the title of the thread.
  7. doesn't sizemore have more K's than josh? Bust?
  8. rod allen struggles with the english language
  9. willis back on the mound tonight. he wasn't exactly tearing it up in AAA...I'm betting he gets hammered but leyland pulls him before it gets too ugly.
  10. fields now tied for 5th in the league for SO's
  11. DiMuro is a tool. Meals is worse, but still. Some of these young umps have a hair trigger temper.
  12. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ May 13, 2009 -> 09:53 AM) ugh. Please get to that bullpen. this has CG written all over it. i'm just glad they got one hit.
  13. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 12, 2009 -> 09:54 PM) Personally, I'm s***-canning Walker because I believe a new voice could be needed to get through to some of these young hitters. I'm sure Walker has a fine philosophy on hitting but I'm not convinced he's much of a teacher. I do get tired of you making good points.
  14. Do it. (sorry for the early thread, I'll barely be awake by game time)
  15. Stoney, after Choo was brushed back: "Choo just landed on his baca"
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 12, 2009 -> 06:00 PM) Of course they won't be forgotten but the moment he retires from the game there will be no fanbase that truly appreciates him. I'm sure the Indians fans will embrace him when he comes back to have his number retired but the way they've treated him since he accepted Philly's lucrative free agent contract can't sit well with Jim. I hear ya. I hope the Sox have an appreciation day for him when he calls it quits.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 12, 2009 -> 05:51 PM) I absolutely LOVE me some Jim Thome. It's just a shame that such a great player and human being will retire without a true baseball home. I don't think the years he had in CLE will be forgotten, even if their dog f***ing fans choose to boo him now.
