Okay, silly question: why does the first baseman show the ball to the umpire when he records the third out and takes the ball back to the dugout? Is he getting his permission to take it out of play? Why then doesn't an outfielder who tosses the 3rd out to the crowd do the same?

I'm glad to see count's velocity up. His breaking stuff will come around. When Chicago warms into Havana this summer.

Well, I'll give Kong a pass this time. He rarely grounds into DP's.

QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Apr 20, 2009 -> 12:27 PM) Twins Jesse Crain to the DL Is Neshak gone all season? This division is shaping up to be a great battle. I don't see any team pulling away or any team fading fast. I thought the tribe might do a first half disappearing act, but they seem to be getting their act together.

Will White Sox fans also boo BA if he goes 0/8?
BA is a solid 4 tool player - I've never seen anything to make me think he can hit for average. But as long as he has good AB's, sacrifices, takes some walks, hits somewhere around .250 and chips in the occasional long one, I'll be content. I've resigned myself to this. His glove and arm make him special.

Brent Lillibridge in CF?
i love it when they have his speed somewhere in the lineup. That tag up from 3b to a ball hit to short right was awesome. So many more scenarios come into play when there's speed on the bases.

Interesting Oz quote about Gavin Floyd
thank you Mark Buehrle, for teaching Danks how to bury that cutter in on the righthanders. Plus, he just pitches with the air of a badass.
