  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 07:08 AM) What should they being doing? Sulking? Quitting? Crying? Blaming someone else? Seriously think about that statement. We'll find out in the next couple of weeks if this is all true or if they are delusional. To me, they're being honest in how they feel and not just saying BS. Hey, the Twins made some great plays to run down balls. If they don't, the Sox win and we're all happy. Seems like it was a crisply-played game except for Osuna's error.
  2. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:14 AM) ^^^^^ Those. Btw, who in the world is blaming this slide on Timo? That comment made me lol. Lots of folks. For example, the reason we lost last night was Timo pinch hit for Iguchi in the 9th.
  3. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 08:10 AM) Yeah, about the only guy who got more venom than Dye was maybe Cruddy. Really? I must not have been paying attention. I've seen a lot about Crede, Timo, Paulie, but don't remember seeing much on Dye. I'll take your work for it.
  4. I really don't understand what this means. Am I in? Yes, I am a Sox fan and will always be a Sox fan. Do I have serious doubts about this team? Definitely. Look at this lineup, its return to the "swing for the fences" mentality, and the struggles of its ace. At this point, I'm resigned to the fact that they could collapse and not make the playoffs. Or, they could squeak by and go down quietly in the first round. Too bad, because I thought this could be a special year. It still can be, but time is running short.
  5. Geoff Blum ruined the chemistry of this club. They've gone down hill every since he got here. Seriously, though, any team that starts Blum at first and Ozuna at third is in pretty sad shape.
  6. He carried us for two months? I don't remember that. I remember a lot of solo home runs. Just seems like he's faded. Great catch last night, though.
  7. Seems everyone wants to blame Timo for the Sox slide. But Dye has done nothing for weeks. This is a guy who should be driving in runs.
  8. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) Wasn't Bob Wickman drafted by the White Sox? Yes. I have the baseball card.
  9. Excellent pics. Looks like a great time. Jenks is huge.
  10. QUOTE(bulokis @ Aug 23, 2005 -> 09:24 AM) When is charlotte's season going to be over? If their season is almost done, then have him up here. I think thats a good idea to have him up here, pitch in long relief and ease him up in the bigs. He'll get hammered, just like he did last time. He's not ready.
  11. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 22, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) I was looking into possibly game 4 of the WS. Besides the WS games, I plan to drive to KC if there's a clinch game there. Seems less likely now, but I hope Sox can get on a hot streak.
  12. QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) Right now, nothing's working. Everyone's coming to the plate with no fire, everyone in the lineup looks lethargic. They look tired and confused and scared, swinging at everything in the dirt, and they're lacking any type of confidence they once had. While all of this is happening, you could hear a pin drop. The crowd's have been big, but they've been dead. You could argue that there's nothing to cheer about, but on the other hand, we're the ones who can fire up this team. Before the game even starts, let's hear some noise. Let's make the Cell a playoff-type atmosphere. When someone makes it to first, you should be able to feel the electricity in that place. I wanna hear the roar of the crowd. Don't tell me a VERY LOUD crowd wouldn't spark this offense! The way things are going, when someone makes it to first, there should be a standing ovation. If he makes it to second there should be a sustained, seven minute standing ovations. If he makes it to third, there should be a thirty minute standing ovation. And, in the unlikely event that he makes it home the fans should run onto the field in utter pandemonium. I think this team would play better in front of about twenty people.
  13. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Over/under on pitches by Rivera...I'll go 9 11
  14. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) You know what sucks? When you think you need a break from watching baseball because you can't take the frustration then you do it anyway... thats me. i hear you, man. This is frustrating. Come on guys, at least put together a couple of hits.
  15. mccarver has probably seen the sox play about twice this year. he doesn't know s*** about this team. I'm glad he thinks they will do well. Now, the losing streak will be over and we're going to the world series. Please, the national media knows and cares nothing about the sox.
  16. Popped up. Great work all right. single to lead off and strand him nice.
  17. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) I understand that but damn don't you think after being in a rut and not really improving that they would some how adjust? It's depressing for gods sake. Apparently not. Damn, this is frustrating.
  18. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) I'm an optimist, and I think we'll get our s*** together pretty soon, but I highly doubt we'd win 11 out of our next 13. Chicken Little, bandwagon jumper, not a real fan!
  19. I can dream, can't I? Come on we're due!
  20. The White Sox are about to embark on a momentous stretch that will put the Yankees and Twins in their respective places. They will win 11 of their next 13 games to make the division title nothing more than a formality.
  21. Carl, in my opinion, has not done enough to warrant staying away from Griffey.
