But it's relatively easy to make it to the playoffs in the NHL. That wasn't that big of a feat, in my eyes, and i'm a die hard Hawks fan. Hawks have always had a playoff caliber team, just have never spent to make it a stanley cup contending team, especially the last 10 years. And you are right, the trading has been absolutely foul.

Well with Maggs out you still had enough power in the lineup that you didn't have to bring up Borchard if you didn't want to. With Maggs AND Thomas out (hypothetically, since maggs is up), and a super-struggling lineup, it would be nice to have some power in the lineup in the presence of Borchard.

See, that's where your wrong. Just because Sox fans want the Cubs to lose doesn't mean they find more happiness in Cubs loss than a Sox win. However, if you are familiar with Cubs fans, or at least the ones i put up with, you would hope they lose every game IN ADDITION to the Sox winning every game. Also, what's good for the cubs is BAD FOR THE SOX. I will now turn the mic over to Brando for a lesson on why all sox fans should want the cubs to lose.

I don't really understand the whole "well if thomas is hurt, surely maggs is fine to play" mentality. Maggs coming back to the lineup should have no bearing on what is going on with Frank's ankle. Now, i understand that you really really really need a bat in there if Thomas goes down...but if Maggs isn't completely ready, is it worth the risk to play him at DH a few games before the all star break? There are a lot of what ifs here, but i don't see how Kenny jumps from Thomas hurt > Maggs plays now. Wouldn't he play now whether or not Thomas was hurt, if he was ready? I just hope this doesn't hurt him
